The winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell.
And great was its fall. Matthew 7:27
The guy in this funny picture looks like he is thinking, “why would this happen, my house?!!”
“It is no accident that
this happened, sir, these are naturally occurring events on islands; and your house is built on sand.”
Not sure if the picture selection (to represent the title of this entry,
If God Exists Why Do Bad Things Happen, was intentional; but the visual representation speaks volumes to this title. In short the entry discusses how "God allows bad things to happen to us to cure our spiritual sickness."
Our tribulations are sometimes a result of our own chosen behaviours. But hopefully throughout the challenges/sickness we are to heal and to grow into better individuals; that is which is pleasing to our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Personally, this picture (as it relates to the entry title) is funny because the visual depicts a foolish [man’s] failure.
Who would build, that type of house, on sand AND on an island with
naturally occurring events?
But man builds on land with natural occurring events, and calls the events disasters or accidents –to avoid taking accountability for the human error/ self-will. As is the same who hears the Word of God and "decided to not serve God because of their pride...."
Back to Matthew 7 : 24 -27
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
