It's not only choking that kills them. When such an obviously unnatural act is performed, the cause of death is almost irrelevant. The whole thing is basically disgusting. There are more deaths than you'd think, some strange indeed. Forget choking - I bet most people trying it don't even know that they have some sort of underlying predisposition to joining the Darwin Awards nominee list.

Man, I thought being obliterated by a random artillery shell I had no idea was coming in a meat grinder war would be a shitty pointless way to die. Perhaps eating pancakes is worse. A real shame such a good looking girl got taken; we need more hotties not less. I'm amazed no one could save her when it happened, I mean come on, how hard is it to clear a blockage in the throat? I'd of been chugging water like crazy before I required assistance. Pancakes seem like bad food for that anyway, seems too easy to get clogged in the throat with their mushy cake-like texture and made worse maybe by liquids.

Yeah, food contests need to be stopped. The biological design of breathing and eating going through the same passageway is just...bad, very bad design. And to me it's way too risky to be haphazardly shoving shit down there when you also need to breath through that tube. Really no need to exacerbate the already risky nature of bad biological design. I mean, what scenario would a person consider the most likely to induce choking and asphyxiation? An eating contest.

Besides, they're utterly pointless. I don't even know who would derive enjoyment from such a thing, watching people stuff their faces...disgusting. I guess I just don't get it. I don't like watching hot girls die though. Definite WB after inducing Heimlich and saving life.

I think it's just natural to care a little more when people in the prime of their lives and attractive ones at that are taken before being able to procreate and live their life. You subconsciously make that connection that they have more to offer humanity and the gene pool than older less attractive people. The mind perceives the loss as greater because they lived less than most and because a higher value is assigned to attractive desirable people.

I don't particularly care if it makes me a bad person or not. Few will care when I die and within a generation no one will mourn me or think about me beyond an interest in their lineage. "oh, that was my great great grandfather, neat!"

Precisely. A quality looking wifeable girl just got cut down in her prime in an incredibly senseless manner. One less cutie to go around. In the modern west that's practically a god damn tragedy given how bad our selection is. Not to politicize the thread but when I see the migrants raping and/or murdering cute Euro girls I feel the same. Either they're ruined or dead, one less quality woman to go around and mate with because of an entirely avoidable situation.
