So looks like Trump is finally going to make a move to regulate social media platforms as public utilities / public square after the coordinated Alex Jones shutdown... he should ban tinder while he's at it.

It's a viral marketing stunt, brought to you by the same guy who did “10 hours of walking in NYC as a woman” a few years ago.

Of course the men who showed up don't know that.

Mass Tinder date was actually a marketing stunt

The Tinder user who duped hundreds of men into showing up at Union Square for a phony date Sunday was actually a stunt for a “viral marketing agency” — the same one that famously recorded hidden-camera footage of a woman being catcalled as she walked around New York City.

“We will be releasing a video Thursday that explains the entire project and story,” marketer Rob Bliss of Rob Bliss Creative told The Post.

Bliss, whose company “specializes in making viral video campaigns,” created the widely-shared “10 hours of walking in NYC as a woman” clip for an anti-harassment non-profit in 2014.

In his latest production, a model and actress named Natasha Aponte invited unwitting men she met on Tinder to the public square on Sunday for what they thought was a hot date.

Instead, the guys were gobsmacked when Aponte appeared on stage and revealed they were all there to date her — and she began dismissing those who didn’t meet her criteria and asking the others to battle it out in contests to win the actual date.

“Half of you people here are in relationships, so those people should leave now,” Aponte is shown telling the crowd in a video taken by a DJ at the event.

“Statistically, people who are on dating apps, half of them are in relationships. So those people should leave.”

“The first elimination is if you think you can support Trump and date a Puerto Rican, now’s the time to leave. If anyone’s a tourist or doesn’t live in this country, you should leave too. Also anyone named Jimmy. I don’t enjoy the name Jimmy,” she continued,.

Men with beer bellies, long beards, khakis and Toms shoes were also dismissed — before those still hoping for that date willingly competed in a running race.

Bliss wouldn’t reveal much more about the project, but said “no product or service of any kind” was involved, and that Aponte is a real single woman who is “passionate about this issue and has been harassed.”

Great find. So, it's a marketing company owned by a man, who co-ordinated the mass shaming and embarrassment of men. Remember that.

It was probably naive to think one woman could pull off something as complicated as this. I also wonder if some of the men who were there weren't also part of this scheme.

The bigger issue here, I think, is the blending of "viral marketing" with reality. In other words, a corporation determining what's real and what isn't. This goes for this current publicity stunt and the "walking as a woman in NYC" video this company did a few years ago. None of this is "real' per se. Marketing companies are inventing a fake reality in which we all supposedly live.

Anyway, this latest stunt was out-and-out deception for any of the men who were duped. There has to be some catfishing law against this.

Things are getting farcical. The internet is a great tool but today it's mostly used as the biggest stage in history for attention seekers like her and her "viral media" handlers.

- Under would've-been president Patrice, she could've been charged with rape. Time rape, that is. RIP, Mr. P.

- Most guys, even most RVFers, would've gone on that date, assuming they found her attractive and she was pleasant enough over text. Nothing about the "setup" sounds terrible in a normal dating dynamic, which brings us to

- This and lesser stunts by "empowered women" every day is how gender relations get messed up. What has any of these men done to deserve redicule? Is it open season on them simply because they went on a date?

Farcical, I tell ya

Imagine the roles were reversed - you would likely need a male model to pull in even 5-10 women, but the outrage would be immense.

This could have been your price:

And she is a few cheeseburgers away from falling to a 5 or lower:

The viral part is one thing, but the reality of the female-favored dating market are amazing.

And that is even a low-tier version of it. She could have gotten 1000 men if she promised a non-filmed gang-bang record. There would be a line waiting around several blocks.

Laugh it up harpies as long as you can - late stage Rome does not last forever.

Also - there were some attractive guys among them as well - many of the tall muscular good-looking blokes left almost instantly. Maybe some stayed for the distant chance of hate-fucking that bitch.

“passionate about this issue and has been harassed."

Jesus. Just imagine the rain of shit brought down upon this bitch for such a stunt in so many other places in the world. I wonder how many countries she would've gotten acid thrown in her face, beaten, gang-raped, or kidnapped and sold into slavery.
Not to mention the hours of time of hundreds of peoples time wasted. Sure there were many genuinely willing rubes participating, but hopefully this guy's marketing company faces some sort of repercussion or online retaliation.

If the gender roles had been reversed, the cops would have been called as soon as the women discovered other women were there. And if the cops weren't called, the newspapers would have been called in to cover the "deception" and "taking advantage of vulnerable women." Everyone would have immediately screamed "fraud!" and "catfish!"

The "male model/actor" who lured the women would also likely have been arrested on a plethora of charges and the marketing company would have been shut down by force or by #metoo-like pressure.

There's a lesson here. Not sure what it is.

I could have swore some dude did this with bumble a few years ago in Washington DC but I’m too lazy to dig up old threads. He pulled 5 fat girls, he didn’t try to stagger the meeting times

When the genders were reversed and women couldn’t get into a free movie it was treated like a serious news event. The Daily News vowed to make things right for them.

“The "Sex and the City" premiere at Radio City Music Hall became all the rage Tuesday night after a ticket snafu left thousands of fashionistas all dressed up with absolutely no place to go.

Organizers of the celeb-studded event overbooked the 6,000-seat theater, leaving bounced fans fuming.”

I honestly expect more of this. Advertisers targeting a male audience* can upload a profile of a female 7, mass swipe on every dude in the target demographic, outsource the interactions to India, then drive the traffic to a set point. An event needs bodies, done. Need phone numbers for dudes in a certain city (that could then be sold done the line to other advertisers), done. A bar or coffeeshop needs more traffic, done.

If done serially instead of together at once, the dudes would never know what was happening. They'd just think the chick had flaked. The advertiser who can routinely pull this off has tapped an infinite resource by monetizing male thirst.

*I don't think that female thirst can be effectively monetized. Also, bitches would complain, and the platforms would take those complaints much more seriously.

Most guys don't have the means to randomly relocate just for pussy.

True but I guess some guys don't know it from the they talk about those of us in liberal shitholes like Toronto.

As for the psychocunt, one perspective to be considered here is that of addiction. They dopamine hit she got from rejecting guys, flaking on them, getting them to buy her food/drinks/entertainment then reject him, etc. This no longer gets her high, make her eyes widen and nipples harden. So she needs the next level of rejection-sadism: Lying to get men into a situation in which they can be publicly humiliated while still hoping they would compete for her. This is the part of her life story where she goes off the rails and tries heroin.

The "Walking Around" video was supposed to show how women are sexually assaulted all day just walking around the city. What's the point of this one? That the vast majority of men on Tinder are just looking for a hookup. That thirsty dudes will allow themselves to be humiliated for a chance to talk to a 5. Like any of that is news.

Here's what I think. They're going to try to show that, after "winning" the competition, men expect things from women. Whether it's a date or sex, men feel entitled to a woman's time or body. It's another part of rape culture.

If it is twisted into something like that, imagine how disingenuous the original Walking Around video was.

Yeah, how dare those nasty, disgusting men compete with each other, empty their bank accounts, and provide comfort and security in return for sex and children!

The girl is a narcissistic piece of work for essentially cat fishing guys.

And I want to feel bad for all the men who showed up. But damn, if they are actually going to stick around and "compete" while being recorded to go on a date for this girl, I refuse to feel sorry for them. Have some respect for yourself.

Contagion, there's no way of knowing for certain that these competitors are not part of the stunt as well.

Same goes for the crowd but in this case, they're more likely passers-by who stopped to check out the spectacle.

Actually.... Nope.

I ALWAYS used to make them talk to me on video first. There's a lot of things you can hide over photo/text that come out very quickly over video.

I think that you are the exception - if you watch the video - the most attractive tallest hunks left the scene after it turned out to be a stupid stunt. They had better things to do.

I thought it was pretty funny. Would not bang, annoying voice.

I have had 2-3 girls show up at the same time through a dating app, but i didnt let them compete. Just have a drink and relax.

You can also go to a place where 100 women show up to get banged by a cool guy like you and they compete for your attention. These places are called "bars" and "clubs".
