Still it was not lost at all. More over the loss of the 6. Armee was a big handicap and loss of a former victorious army. Paulus was a weak leader not used to lead troops.

I have the Ford translation. It reads far better than the other translations I've attempted to read, but the book still rambles on and on. His hatred for the Jews is pretty palpable throughout but it's mentioned far less often than I expected.

It is not a terrible documentary but I wouldn't recommend watching it given that it is 6 hours long and gives a completely uncritical assessment of Hitler (there is nothing negative about him in the whole thing).
