Talent is the raw material, training is what turns that raw material into something useful. Brains may grow and develop new neural connections, but different brains do so at different rates, and in different ways, and with different limits.

When people say that blacks have low average IQ, it's not an insult. Treating it like one is why blacks get pressured into following a life path that is probably too difficult for many of them, and that's going to lead to a lot of feelings of frustration because the work expected of them is difficult to do, and they're going to be constantly measuring themselves up to their smarter co-workers. That's one way to breed black resentment toward whites, like what you see in that article.

I mean, a lot of modern jobs these days are very cerebral, whereas in older days, most work was physical and done with the hands, and you didn't have to think, just do. But now, we expect everybody to go to school so that they can do modern high cerebral load work like being an engineer, a scientist, a doctor, etc., without regard for whether that person would have a much better quality of life if he was more free to just do something more like farming, construction work, road work, etc. and still make a decent living.

I was just chatting recently with a gal working at the tiki bar watching the pool during my vacation last week. She just had to sit there and make sure that not too many people got into the pool and violated COVID social distancing requirements.

I chuckled that it was a pretty good gig. She didn't even have to use her hands or even her eyes most of the time. If she heard someone getting in, just look up a bit, and maybe make a little noise about something every few hours or so. Her time no doubt cost for the day about $200.00.

I had a similar gig when I was young as a "security guard" wearing a jacket that said "security" on it and assigned to sit in a chair at one of the race pits overnight. There was some beer in the ice chests (not for me) and pretty much that was it of anything of value around. I was assigned from midnight to 8AM to just sit there and make sure nobody took any of the $30 worth of beer or peed in the race pit. It was a tough gig for me. I could read if I wanted but it was a challenge since I was tired. If I started to nod off, a mouse came out and stirred me awake. (Thank you mouse!)

What I'm saying here is that it's extraordinary how much modern world would be considered rather silly by the standards of our grandparents. A lot of work doesn't make much sense, but the managers/directors come up with uses for labor and don't overthink them perhaps because like with calculators making us lazy in how to add/multiply/subtract, they also don't think workflows through.

Consider: if lesser skilled/intellectual labor was not needed as much, then why do the oligarchs SCREAM for increased immigration of that kind of worker? Shouldn't the elites be clamoring to DEPORT illegals who are a net loss of wealth to the nation and their tax contributions?

And even looking at the comment from a non "racist" viewpoint, Blacks are a small minority in the USA, I believe less than 15% of the total population.

And then you delve deeper, and ask what percentage of that percentage are college educated, and in their prime working years?

And further how many are interested in a job in finance?

I'll speculate the number is miniscule. His comment is the truth, and the fact it's ruffling feathers is absurd.
