Reading the actual article, there's a lesson about social justice convergence there. Think about the optics here: the homo church is claiming that they just want the homos to be welcome to "love and serve Jesus Christ", so the optics that the SBC is going to face now is looking like angry, scowling Spanish Inquisitors putting happy, smiling gay people into torture devices because they just hate gays for no reason other than because they're hateful hatey white men.

That's how entryists work, they get into your institution by pretending to align with your beliefs, then they hold the doors open for their fellows, and start playing the victim when you start dealing harshly with them.

There are 2 ways to solve this.

One: Fully embrace the Spanish Inquisitor ethos. Own it, and don't back down. The people you want in your institution anyway are the ones that approve of purging heretics. This is the reactive method.
Two: Carefully vet who you allow in. There are methods to pull this off, and the strongest church will be the one that is built by chains of committed disciples, not by popular advertising means. This is the proactive method.

Video description: "False and dangerous information about the coronavirus pandemic and politics continues to spread online, and memes are often the vehicle of choice for misinformation on social media. Axios media reporter Sara Fischer joins CBSN to discuss why memes pose a significant threat and what users can do about it. "

So basically...the left sucks at meme. And they still can't meme so their new narrative is "memes are a threat". :laughter:

The historical Church has always gone with Option 2. Potential converts were always catechumens for a few years before being baptized into the Church. This gave the convert the opportunity to learn about Christianity, and the opportunity for the priest to learn about the convert's intentions.

Of course, there's nothing wrong with a homosexual joining the Church, provided he or she is repentant and struggles to turn away from their sins.
