Ultimately the US founding fathers had the right ideas in terms of immigration - only Europeans - and here Christians, no Muslims, for a time even no Jews. Should have kept it like that.
The winning formula is simple.
No immigration. Ever.
No competing ethnicities. Ever.
At best foreign marriage grants a temporary green card for the term of the marriage. Get divorced? Go back.
There is no compelling argument to be made for granting citizenship to foreigners.
