That's just shameless!
This is is Melbourne, and the issue arose out of our most left leaning state government bending rules for their team and fucking it up for everyone.
Sure geography helps, but in a population of 25 million, we have(had) 107 deaths until 3 big events in close succession.
I live in Western Australia, we effectively no longer have covid here and as of this week sporting stadiums were granted 50% capacity.
Victoria however, whilst worse that WA had a very mild occurrence then they allowed;
* A BLM protest (which another state has a courting ruling to postpone twice).
* Exception for mass gathering for Eid celebrations for Muslims.
* Our quarantine ruling is overseas returns must be immediately put into a 14 day hotel quarantine. Vic government by-passed all tendering and expertise measures, and hired the firm of a party donor that specialised in bar security. These bouncers were known to be having sex with people suspected to have covid, then they went back and infected their own, you guessed it, Muslim communities.
Now the city of Melbourne is running at higher new cases per day than the UK

Queues are around the corner at testing stations that were previously ghost towns.
How often can you get tested? Weekly? Can you go to multiple testing centers and work that angle? Sounds like a great opportunity for a cash grab.

I was getting into verbal fights all the time at the front of each store where I just walked pass the employee. Since they said it's a lifetime ban now and also calling the cops, it's the only reason why I started to wear a mask. I didn't see anyone not wearing a mask the first week except myself. Good to see people are being good slaves and giving up their freedom to Dictator Dan. All this bullshit is over a virus that kills as much as the yearly flu. HONK FUCKING HONK!

The state of Victoria, Australia has just entered the worlds strictest lock down.
We are at Stage 4 - no leaving your house without a mask, no more than 5km from your house (for the 1 hour of exercise allowed) and 8pm-5am curfew. Most small businesses closed, include barbers. Just supermarkets, liquor stores, drug stores pretty much.

On day 1 of Stage 4, our state premier has already mentioned the words 'Stage 5'.
Laws have been re-written to allow verbal warrants over the phone to police to allow them to enter or seize property. That's right, the police can practically enter anyone's property at any time now because 'Covid'.
Military aren't super prevalent but have been seen unarmed patrolling popular walking tracks with police (groups of 4 soldiers + 2 police) issuing $200 mask fines and $1,652 breach fines.
Here are our cases (inflated by bribing people to get tested) vs deaths. Entire Covid nationwide deaths = 247.
FYI - in the month of Aug last year (2019) we had 100+ flu deaths (coldest part of our Winter).

Mail to Victoria is also being opened to check for """items of concern to national biosecurity""". A CD I'd ordered from Western Europe came in today, with a note from the "Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment" in the package and a green seal saying "RELEASED FROM BIOSECURITY CONTROL" on the package where the so-called Department (really Soviet-style censors) opened it.
