I know a couple of dudes that are under complete control of their wives, but I know MORE that still do their own thing, and manage their marriages. Most of them still take opportunities to tap side shit, but are still good family men. They still carve out their own time for things the want to do. I think the key is establishing certain things early, and making it clear these things won't change. Sure, she'll still test you, but if you hold firm, you should be good. I think deep down if guys are soft, that will come out in their marriages. One of my boys that's miserable in his marriage got run over by his girlfriends, so it stands to reason his wife would dictate to him (though I can see him cheating eventually...he was a pretty good player when he was single). I think Brad WAS bored by Jen, but was simply being nice. While she's cute, she comes across as kind of basic to me. Brad is a thoughtful, interesting dude (as you can see by the projects he undertakes - he's not looking to coast on his good looks and being famous). He probably married her because he was too into the fame thing (he was a hot movie actor, she was a hot tv actor on an incredibly popular show), and realized it was just empty. I think he really wanted to be a dad, and Jen was trying to do that for him yet. As crazy as Angie is, she's far more interesting (she's a pilot, is interested in more than just being a famous actress), so that was probably a better move for him. And remember...neither finds it necessary to marry. They just do their own thing.
