Moving into a Muslim heavy Cul-de-Sac....

Yeah all the Muslim refugees I see in this area do some sort of labourer job (welding, painting) or something like work at a dry cleaner. Don't think they are allowed to just pick up a cheque. Certainly seems to help.

But just remembered some of them are Bangladeshis and Indonesians as well. Different from Arabs and Pakistanis.

OP should keep up posted on his progress in Culdesacstan.

He may be busy locating all the good natural resources in the culdesac and then redrawing the boundaries of their maps and supplying the black sheep in their families with RPGs, so as to make them feel like home.

Remember they came into this culture not he other way around. Don't change for them. They should change for you.

To each their own. We can agree to disagree on certain approaches. That’s fine. I will speak for myself. I would go about my daily life. I wouldn’t visit a mosque. Would they do the same for you if you were Jewish? Bending over backwards for backwards thinking cultures, no thanks. People talking about conversion!? Where are your backbones folks. Stand up for what you believe in. That’s why we are in this mess with SJWs etc. To be a good neighbour, yeah maybe roast a lamb for a neighbour(s) have a get together. Have halal , no alcohol at that party etc. I’m sure they will accept you just fine.

Be yourself.....

You're going to be isolated. Once they move in and the white boomers die out (current situation) then they stay and take over the entire area. The overall feel of the area goes down, houses become worse as they fail to maintain them - and they always fail to maintain them.

Sales are almost always sketchy as they sell between themselves with inflated prices or under-selling or overpricing to scam the banks. Just like Jews do.

So why the hell you'd buy a house in one of those areas when you're not one of them is beyond me. You could rent to them however. How many mosques are nearby?

Unless you're a Real Estate expert, this post is a whole outta nothing!

You dont have a clue what you're on about, I do. And real estate agents are a joke most of the time.

I hope OP agrees with former president Barack Obama that the call to prayer is the most beautiful music in the world, because he will get stuck listening to it at six in the morning.

I grew up next to Pakistani neighbours in the UK and my family is Indian.

Just go about your life as normal, they won't say shit to you. The average Muslim just wants his family to be safe and to be able to raise his kids in a good environment, just like everybody else.

TDK, buying a house is a big decision so you have to be comfortable with it. If you're truly apprehensive about your neighbors, nothing anybody here says will change that. You'll also start to interpret their actions negatively, right or wrong. That can be a pain in the ass to deal with every day.

All that said, my personal experiences with Pakistanis have been positive or at least neutral. I work in the high end of tech though so they were all highly educated and some of them very well off. Even the religious ones seemed to have a more spiritual approach to Islam than the typical everyone going to hell spiel.

It's worth it to walk around the neighborhood a bit and maybe even chat with some people living there (muslim or otherwise) about the area, what they like/hate about it. That should give you a better read on things.

And of course, take all that with a grain of salt and again, make sure you're comfortable with the decision

Btw, salt is halal right?

Obviously you know the rules. If it's a well-off Muslim area, then you will be fine on your own, but I wouldn't want to live there either way. The next generation of their progeny might demand more adherence to sharia in your nice area. Then the sharia police will come down knocking at your door in 10-15 years because they see you sporting a beard that isn't long enough and they heard you playing music which is haram.

But since you already bought it - you can always sell it in time.

Very sad documentary on Pakistani marriage practices in marrying first cousins that continues in England. I’m surprised that the government allows this as healthcare is already at its wits end.

Sell the house and leave for somewhere else. It's not worth the risk.

You will always forever be a foreign ethnic, cultural, religious and racial element to them just like they will be to you. Sooner or later, trouble will come between you, because Islam is a religion whose essence dictates that all of its faithful believers must wage eternal war on non-believers/infidels. So whenever a Muslim is being peaceful, tolerant and non-aggressive, they are actually being a bad Muslim. If you like, you can risk coming across "tolerant" Muslims who don't want to eternally wage war against non-believers and defy the Quran on that matter. Still, if it comes to any trouble, which it inevitably will at some point in the future, because a significant percentage of Muslims seriously believe in waging eternal war against non-believers, they will win because they will outnumber you.

Also, you should sell the house as soon as possible, because the house price is very likely to either only slowly drop, or abruptly crash in the future.

So it turns out the cul de sac, is mixed. Two other black familes and a Chinese and a few Hindus.
Just the Muslims have so many kids....which actually gave the impression of being so many houses owned by them but it’s just a few houses - filled with them.

That makes more sense as to how it's still a good neighborhood which is seldom the case being majority Muslim - exception are Arab sheiks buying up an area, but they usually don't live there.

In response to a post above - it is interesting to see what will happen in the UK once the boomers really start dying out in significant numbers. We are probably at the bottom of that curve right now. By that I mean they are the people who largely maintain the facade of "niceness" that is still pretty pervasive in the most of the UK. By that I mean if you drive down many UK streets you will see nice gardens with flowers and general tidiness and order. All the national trust stately homes and things like that are mostly staffed by this generation. The way things are is largely maintained by the social system, definitely not by the state. Once society changes things will change in the blink of an eye. Of course we are pretty much seeing that already in london and other cities.

In my view we will pretty much lose a sense of our history in the UK in the next couple of generations. Especially as there will be no one alive with any connection to "the war". WW2 I think it's fair to say was a seminal period in terms of national identify. Your boomers we born after the war obviously, but their parents weren't.

It's hard to explain if you are not well versed in britain but a lot of people will know what I mean. Well maintained hedges and gardens with violas in planters. People saying hello to you in the street. That sort of things.
