He could be a beta male. But in the game of life he isn't a loser.
Tax benefits? Come on. From the OP's story this guy keeps attractive women around him by giving them expensive luxury toys(depreciating assets) and expensive dinners. And yes, unless you are Warren Buffett or Bill Gates, buying a $90-100k porsche is a bad move financially (100% chance of the price going down-- rapidly too).
The majority of people who purchase Porsche S class whatever are not even wealthy ($10 million in liquid assets). Most of them are aspirational buyers who "want to look rich", but don't have the where with all to save money/invest and defer gratification. They have a good job (or they do until they get downsized) or have a successful business (until a recession comes and wipes them out). They make good money compared to their peers, but are no where near close to achieving generational wealth.
In the game of life, most temporarily successful people don't know how to preserve wealth (adjusted for inflation). Instead they waste their precious capital by purchasing stupid cars, fancy clothes/jewelry, and homes larger than they can afford. To buy/lease a car exclusively for a woman shows incredibly poor judgement, which will likely be repeated in other areas of his life.
