If I discovered that the package is filming me - I would destroy the cameras, the memory, the GPS then transport it elsewhere -not just throw the shit at nearest recycle bin, where it can be collected and the evidence can be used.

The package thieves clearly aren't on your intellectual level, just like the people on this thread. Also, it wasn't clear from the video that the thieves discovered the cameras, the only obvious part was the glitter and fart spray, which was likely shocking enough to induce panic and thus the thieves' impulsively throwing the package away.

Could it be partially staged? Definitely, but it's not so obviously staged that the experiment has no value.

Not that they are inventing stories or that the glitter guy is paid, but just highlighting their collected theft videos. Saw the same thing on our local news last night.
No mention of their brand but as people look to solutions to this sudden “problem” there is Ring ready to accept your money.
