Mmmm this might not be so bad of an idea. Probably you could investigate Youtube's terms and claim they breached contract. Or I guess you could find some other electronic privacy law provision Youtube broke? Maybe German law provides for some remedy. Is YT classified as editorial or is it protected by being just a "platform?" If it's editorial it has some responsibility in what it promotes and if what they're promoting is obvious fraud then they can be on the hook but I don't know, you have to research the law.
Sorry to hear this happened to you. Yes greed is a big issue. I don't have any solutions for you other than pointing to a lesson learned, and that the 7 deadly sins from the bible are not only concepts that point to an idealized self, but are cautionary tales with real practical implications for everyday life.
It's true that Youtube promoted it via their algorithm. A random person is unlikely to have seen this video pushed up in their feed. They had a large role to play in him losing his money to this scammer. I imagine YouTube would gladly settle this out of court for 20k+ costs. I just don't know where I would be able to find a lawyer that deals with this kind of litigation.

I hate hearing stories like this. As much as i love crypto and believe in its future.....it truly attracts some of the worst actors.
Some other precautions to take:
-Token approvals can be dangerous at times with metamask (be very careful which websites you grant approval to).
-NEVER give away your private seed phrase.....UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE.
-As sgt has shown us always verify twitter accounts (twitter is full of fake accounts trying to scam you)
-Best to avoid searching w/ key word: metamask when seeking guidance.
-USE A HARDWARE WALLET: if you are keeping a large proportion of your crypto on an exchange/metamask you are asking to get rekt. I use a wallet called Bitfi.....ledger nano is fairly easy to use (however I do not trust them as they have shown risk with customer data).....still your assets will be safe as long as you don't give out your seed phrase. (ALSO do not buy a hardware wallet from a 3rd party seller.......buy directly from the source)
Sgt....don't beat yourself up man.....like you said your mental state was not up to speed. Just learn from it and stay in the game. There are countless opportunities in the space to make it all back and some. Hang in there.
