New Free Speech Twitter Alternative - Gab.ai

Is there a way I can surf the site without having an account? I don't have a Twitter account but I look at it all the time. That doesn't seem an option with Gab.ai.

So I've been on the waitlist for maybe 2 weeks now.

However, I don't know how to find out where on the list I am currently - I think I may have been around 80/90k when I signed up.

Anyone know how to do this?

I was like ~79,000 when I signed up, 2 Mondays ago. Got my registration thing yesterday. So you should be getting it quite soon I expect.

Pretty sure there's no way to check where you are on the list, at least as of the day I signed up.

The search function seems to be knackered, can't actually find anyone by name, just searches the actual text you tweet

Try it again, search "irishdoesasia" should work now

After two years on Twitter, I have deleted my account. I can still read specific people there just by entering their Twitter URL in the browser (which is how I started using Twitter in the first place). Since I used my real name there, there was little I could safely like, post or retweet beyond totally generic stuff, and I just got tired of worrying about that. I followed almost anyone I wanted to follow but that was feeling riskier and riskier.

When I opened my GAB account, I decided to go with an anonymous username and account name. My photo is somewhat recognizable if you know me but just barely. At this point I'm more interested in hearing the conversation than in participating, so I'll probably use GAB mostly as an aggregator rather than as a Facebook substitute.

Not yet. Gab is still in Beta. Andrew is still working to fund the development of new features.

What defines a ‘terrorist organization or agenda’? Any group that is labelled as a terrorist organization by the United Nations and/or United States of America classifies as a terrorist organization on Gab.

(((Gab.ai))) bows down to the (((UN))).

So far they are better than twitter, but in theory if the (((UN))) were to declare the RooshV Forum a terrorist organization, any RVF members on Gab.ai would get banned.

Why Gab.ai would include gobalists in their rules is beyond me, but they are clearly compromised in a major way.
