I am more optimistic, but only because normie 'controlled op' conservatives, like Jordan Peterson and Ben Shapiro, have come down squarely against Covid tyranny.
Covid restrictions ended worldwide primarily because of the Trucker protests in Canada.
The Freedom Convoy revealed the Covid regime to be nothing more than a paper tiger.

The current Ukraine - Russia war started on the 24 February 2022.
Only a handful of countries had removed Covid restrictions at that point, mainly in Scandinavia/Northern Europe.
Most countries worldwide lifted them after the war started started...some only many months later.
I wouldn’t necessarily dismiss them so lightly. Canada and Australia had arguably the most aggressive enforcement in the Western world, and their governments proved to be willing to use every facet of state power to spy, harass, and even detain their own citizens. The only thing that really stopped the government from going further was the proliferation of alt/conservative media/internet that was showing the other side of the story. The government was stuck, because if they escalated with force they’d risk being exposed as the real bad guys and turning the truckers into martyrs. But let’s be real, there was and is a very large minority in the Western world that would have absolutely relished liberal authoritarians running over “anti-maskers” and MAGA types with tanks. Don’t think for a second these governments aren’t capable of taking it there.
It is incredibly hard to discern the truth in this day and age. Here we have threads questioning various things from viruses to relativity to the Holocaust and many more. It would take many hours of research to truly form an informed opinion on these topics but our time and attention is limited. Regarding viruses, most of us don't have a background in biology and can't even fully grasp the foundational suppositions of virology. So sometimes it's best to just keep an open mind and not get too caught up in these things. I put my faith in God and trust that in time I'll be able to figure it all out. If He wants me to. If it's even necessary for salvation.
Other times it can be easier to see we were deluded. For example, concerning the covid vaccine propaganda. We can also play to our strengths. I don't know the slightest thing about the biomechanics of viruses, but I'm very good with numbers and can use my skills to focus on the biostatistics side.
I think the main thing to keep in mind always is that the global elites, and Satan through them, will always push certain ideas that benefit them and their grand plan. So if you see some scientific or historical theory that aligns with their goals of globalism, ecumenism, or whatever evil they push, it's good to at least question it, even if you don't reject it outright. Consider how your frame of mind has been built up since infancy with a constant barrage of ideas and propaganda. Just like lambs are fed for years to be slaughtered, we are fed mental and spiritual junk our whole lives that make us ripe for the "slaughter" of our minds and souls.
Try to imagine yourself as a man living 500 years ago or 500 years in the future, and how completely different your conception of the world would be, with an entirely different set of preconceived notions. Some might say I'm being too permissive and should take a stronger stand against seemingly subversive ideas, but this is how I came to Christ. By giving Him a chance and looking at all the evidence in it's own right. Whatever the truth is, you're better off in the Church and still believing some falsehoods, rather than outside the Church also believing the same falsehoods.
So far it might as well just be fear mongering. But... what if we actually see a deadly variant, one that justifies the mandates and the lock downs. What if we start seeing people around us and love ones dying, what would you do then ? Whether it's from a weakened immune system from the previous round of vaccinations or a truly new dangerous variant, it really wouldn't matter as the media is in control of the narrative.
To back what I'm saying, the cdc and the who defined 4 categories of variants on their website, the most dangerous being a "Variant of high consequence". We haven't seen the category 4 one yet, see for yourselves

I thought you were new to this forum until I checked your account. Also "the flu" isn't a Corona virus, the cold is. In reference to whoever's posted that.
Assuming that viruses are real, there are 7 types of Coronaviruses that I am aware of. Some of them can be contracted by humans, some by animals, and some by both. MERS (which I've had) and SARS1 are two of them. 4 others are the "common cold", and COVID is the 7th. I am still on the fence about whether viruses are real, or just a convenient label for some other "biojunk" that we can't identify properly. As you can see, I am clearly not a biologist but the "be afraid of viruses everywhere and keep taking injections" routine is flawed and lacking. I'm smart enough to see that. I'm still investigating the terrain theory. Just last month I healed myself almost within hours of a terrible bronchitis that I'd had for 2 weeks, and antibiotics couldn't stop. I took chlorine dioxide and within 8 hours I was 50% better. Within 2 days I was back to normal. There is something to this...still investigating.

I remember when I posted this. I wish I got recordings of all the "safe and effective" alerts that were so obvious propaganda. I'm sure they're still out there online somewhere.
Even after all this time, the argument hasn't changed. If Covid was so deadly, so destructive to citizens and the economy, why the need to force vaccination or any kind of solution? Wouldn't it be self evident? Especially if it was so contagious.
It's always been about the vaccine and control.
I think the propaganda event called covid encompasses both the:
- Pro side: Lock everyone down, muzzle up, scientists, save up state.
- Contra side: We don't want this
I think the plan has never been to have an endless muzzled up population. It was a great fear event. Tested by countless Hollywood movies; people loved these pandemic stories, though in real life some people didn't really follow the plan.
I think what made them drop it, is that it became really risky for the elite, people threatened individual persons.

What is interesting is that nobody talks about the truckers anymore for 2 years. While objectively this could be the great revival of the people. Fighting against the oppressive state. No statues for these men. No press. As if it never happened.
Whenever we see kids glued to the pavement. for the weather, it is broadly presented as children fighting for rights, and against oppression.
I think the trucker protests had a different character. (it's always complex to assess if it's counter propaganda or a true protest) as they often mix up.
I think in protesting these are the ways. Blocking main roads, preferably borders, harbours or industrial areas and visiting politicans / billionaires at home.
They don't like that.
I don't remember, it's just general knowledge I've known as long as I can remember, along with stuff like the earth is round, the earth goes around the sun, etc. Probably first heard about bacteria and viruses from one of my parents explaining why I should wash my hands before eating, or not cough in someone's face. I believe it because it is a simple explanation for how diseases work and lines up with everything else I know.
I don't believe the "vaccine" was real and I nearly lost my job for refusing to get it. I also don't believe in any horrible threatening new variant. But there is no point debating this here any more, I made my point that I think our enemies use ideas like this on purpose to divide and weaken Christians, but I'll stop now.

In our modern times a lot of "general knowledge" accepted as truth for decades is turning out to be totally false.
Everything from how AIDS is transmitted (95% of it is actually through blood injuries related to needles, gay anal sex and tainted blood transfusions, rather than through normal sex), if a man's pre-ejaculate alone can actually can make your wife pregnant (it mostly can't), to whether childhood vaccines have caused the worldwide autism epidemic (jury's still out, but seems very likely), all the way to things like the 6 moon landings, is all quickly turning out to be total nonsense.
Your main point here is accurate. The best teaching point is that one should remain a skeptic, but not a contrarian for contrarian's sake. Just some clarification, as I'm credentialed in most of this stuff, and feel like I'm a good "in between" for a lot of the assertions on our wonderful forum. AIDS was always from high risk communities, yes, the lies regarding it were more about normalization and government policy, so that they could treat it as though "it affected everyone" and thus fool people on social levels and for more funding - the aim of most .gov, departmental or other bureaucracies. Autism is more about women having or trying to have babies at ages FAR out of norm for human fertility/evolution than any injection, but yes it's likely the injections didn't help. Then there's also the "diagnose this kid" since I'm older, still work, and also don't have time for this time and attention stuff. The covscam is a lab created virus that took advantage of unhealthy people and was more propaganda than anything, since influenza also would commonly "kill" people (their words not mine). Of course, shut down normal, cheap treatments and get people to inject themselves ("voluntarily") for profit is another huge win on multiple levels.
If people don't see the .gov or deep state, or whatever you want to call it, for what it is at this point, they won't. What's sad or sick is that within several years a lot of those people won't be around for it to matter.
That's a nice thought but I think they did very little, if anything at all. It was hardly covered by the media outside of Canada. And what little coverage there was referred to them as a fringe group of anti-vaxxers with no popular support.

Local Canadian protests were largely irrelevant outside of North America.
Russia invading Ukraine however got the entire world to stop what it was doing and pay attention.
Very few people remember this! One week prior to the "invasion" of Ukraine the MSM where as crazy about covid as ever, then it all started to change rapidly. It's totally fair to say that Putin ended covid.
