The Rams bother me now that they have Brandon Cook. They were tough last season, but they should be very dangerous next season unless defenses find a way to stop Goff or figure out what they were doing and take it away from them.

He's good but not great. A vertical threat but scared to go over the middle. Sammy Watkins was better.

Yeah but Goff now has at least 1 vertical threat.... Just sayin.

What do you guys think of that one guard from Notre Dame Quenton Nelson? Most scouts and evaluators say that he's going to be a hall of famer right out the get co and has 0% bust potential.

I'd rather take a sure thing hall of fame guard than risk getting a bust in the QB spot.

Proving that the NFL players and to a lesser degree the owners still don't understand why fans are pissed, they had a meeting to discuss how the protests were affecting business.

The only thing the players wanted to talk about was giving Kap another contract. Even though he hasn't been able to play at a professional level in years and the last owner (Baltimore) who almost signed him got called a racist and Ray Lewis (who was helping to negotiate the deal) got called an Uncle Tom.

Most of the owners seem terrified of upsetting the players. No one is willing to tell them to knock it off or you're gone.

Only the Texans' owner was willing to tell the players to put pressure on their fellow players to end the kneeling.

Owners HATE HATE HATE Trump - but are terrified of his ability to connect with NFL fans.

Owners want a black player to be the new face of the protests. To promote "all the good things they're doing". Because the only problem is that fans are too dumb to understand the SJW message...NOT that we fully understand and simply disagree.

The takeaway seems to be that, in exchange for players ending the protests, the owners will give a payday to whatever SJW nonsense groups the players want. They might even participate in a march on Washington...to protest something...maybe protest fans for being racists. That'll bring us all back!!

Poor Johnny Football, 4 interceptions in the first half before getting pulled.

I forget if it was the 2nd or 3rd but the receiver should have caught it but instead tipped it right to the defender. I hope he starts next week and has a decent game, I like the guy.

I ain't a 9ers fan but this even pained me to watch. Dudes gonna go mental and end up like Ray Finkle from Ace Ventura.

Amazing that the rookie had no problem making the game-tying kick and yet couldn't take the pressure when it went into overtime.

Great game though. Go Hawks!

Bumping the NFL thread because there is no joy in Mudville... Mighty Brady has bowed out. Will be a while before rub n tug Krafty pulls off another Pat's Superbowl win.

Bahston NBC 10 reports Tampa announcing a deal with Brady this week in no personal income tax Tampa Florida

Land of great tasty stogies and rippahs.

Chances are the upcoming season will be cancelled. I think it will be a shortened season that starts late and is played without fans in the stands.

NCAA Spring football has been cancelled, so will Summer camps.

It's very telling how this thread had pages and pages of posts every season but stopped for the 2018 season. There was over a year gap - from 8/4/2018 and 11/13/2019. In all of 2019, there were only 2 posts.

I was an NFL fanatic. I wasn't even a fan of any particular team, I just loved the energy and excitement of football. Now, I might have been excited by a game or two that I had money on, but only watched a handful of games all last season.

I'm still confused as to why Brady wouldn't just retire.

He has all the money in the world, solidified his spot as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time and had an amazing career that most quarterbacks could only dream of.

And yet he wants to risk more injury for what? Bragging rights?

Doesn't make any sense.
