There is no statute of limitations on rape, so if she was serious I'd think she'd press charges to set an example. After-the-fact charges have been filed many times with Catholic priests and British TV hosts and men have gone to jail for crimes committed decades ago.
That said, I want to address the "things were different" then idea, and using "Saturday Night Fever" as an example.
First, things weren't that different. People went to prison for statutory rape and sex with a 12-year-old was not acceptible.
"Saturday Night Fever" was also fabricated. The writer, Nik Cohn, admitted he made up the story for a New Yorker article and a movie was made based on his B.S. The oh-so-intellectual New Yorker never issued an apology for running fiction as fact.
That alone should make you question what you read in the media. Including Anderson's story. If she presses charges, I'll eat my words...and hope the babysitter and alleged rapists pay for their crimes.
