People evolved to mimic/emulate successful leaders, and movie manipulation(Big image)

There's an interesting 4Chan pic about it.

Cliffs:

Most people don't think as such, or process information. Instead they internalise it, and they are designed to mimic what is successful. Usually it's been good because we can see reality. But the CIA/group they commissioned did research and realised people subconsciously get tricked by movies thinking it's reality.

The most interesting line:

Emulate the most famous person so that your chance of getting wealth and power increase, and act emotionally on average because long term planning doesn't work out for majority of the population.
Made a lot of things click. In the back of my head I had always noticed people being illogical. It does make sense it is not evolutionarily advantageous to be logical.

Long term planning and execution without involving "illogical" feeling/intuition is a weak process because goal posts keep shifting as time goes on.

Emotion (I'm going to call it intuition) is required to pick up on subtle trends, or even drastic changes to calculate vague information subconsciously. Sometimes a gut feeling (an "illogical" emotion) is 100% logical, you just can't easily define or see the fragments of information available to you but your brain is still ticking away, processing everything and giving you the information via an emotional response.

Ever felt like your lady was cheating on you but you had no solid evidence? That's an illogical thought... until it turns out to be true.

Ever felt like your stocks were about to crash? An illogical feeling... until they crash and you didn't cash out in time.

As for evolutionary advantage, the advantage is adaption. Adaption requires being in tune with feels because it's quicker. The subconscious processing has been done, you just haven't thought about it or connected the dots properly.

The downside is that other people can corrupt your subconscious processing via programming so your feels and intuition can be thwarted... this is how they fuck you (and the masses).

How many “content creators” on Youtube, can be seen making vlogs about following (famous persons) routine for said amount of time.

As their hundreds of thousands of subscribers regurgitate this crap. Because somehow, waking up at 4:30AM and running 2000km will make you successful.

The average person doesn’t know success even if it knocked on their front door in the morning with a bag full of donuts.

This absolutely works like that. We have a ton of learned behavior.

If the most successful men in our society wore fur suddenly, sported swords and drank their own piss, then it would all be shown on TV, the upper 5% would emulate them.

Obviously it works like that - more the image than the reality of course and that is why all the TV are for, but also the charity ball dinners, as well as the orgy afterparties.
