This song, and especially the video may make you long for a past era, but it will also make you smile and perhaps tear up a bit. While it's easy to look at the past as the glory days, I can't help but want to be in this time period. We should never want or expect an easy life, but we should strive for a life of adventure, overcoming obstacles, family, community, simple pleasures and Christ.

I’d had a rough day at work today, I mean REAL rough. I work in a hospital full of blue pilled clowns here in Victoria Australia, and we’ve just been locked down for the 4th time. Anyway, I’m just about to hit the sack then I watched this clip. Thanks for helping to end my day on a much better note than how it started, God bless.

Absolutely love Gregory Alan Isakov - each of his songs evoke a type of melancholy and nostalgia for a time and place I have never been but still somehow long for.

Yep his album with the Colorado Symphony doesn't have a bad song in it. Actually all of his albums to my ear sound great.

I was fortunate enough to see him live before covid crap...was a great show and would recommend seeing him live.

People are tearing down and even burning pride flags in Oslo. Mostly in the Muslim areas/schools, but still good news! They seem to be everywhere this year so, including kindergarten`s...
Couple years ago I'd see the Muslims as the big enemy and would protect ''our freedoms'' in this regard. How different do I see it now lol. The Muslims and conservatives/conversative Christians should work together in the future tbh. The secular society, that is the real enemy of us all.

Another minor one, however......

Out of full spectrum Omega capsules, and almost out of multivitamins, so off to the local health food store. The owner was doing a stock check, so got a large jar of short dated Solgar Omega capsules at 50% off, plus 2 jars of OOD Solgar 50+ multivits for free!

This is fantastic! Really heart warming in the midst of the typical doom and gloom. Thank you for starting this thread and finding this story!

Edit: Thank you to La Águila Negra for finding the heritage apple story!

This is a personal story, but positive and true.

In my job I've found lots of corrupt and immoral people in high positions. I know God tells us not to judge, but it was affecting me personally...so I prayed and I had an idea...bless the office space with Holy Water.

While I have no formal training this, I was of the notion that I was just a vehicle for Christ's power (absolutely the case). I went in early before anyone arrived. I said my prayers and went to work with the intention of banishing any evil, but didn't really want any result, that would be up to God. I guess ideally the result I wanted was for these people to repent and join the church. I don't think they did because of what happened.

I sprinkled Holy Water in the office and focused on the cubicles and offices of the worst offenders.

I did this for the first time about 6 months ago. About a month later a woman who was fornicating with a subordinate suddenly left the company.

The week of the blessing the guy fornicating with her did not show up to work at all.

I did it again a few weeks ago, and a week later a third bad apple was terminated.

Now skeptics can say it's just one big coincidence, but it's not.

We speak a lot on this board about evil and the things they do, but we must continously pray and give blessings for good.

I completed my annulment paperwork today.

I originally requested it in 2016 but it was too hard to deal with and I was still to angry and the emotions were too raw. I requested the second set in August of this year. I still had a hard time getting started. Thanksgiving weekend I put my head down and plowed through. I would have finished two days ago but I lost a lot of the documentation because Microsoft word did not save it after I adjusted margins and put in page numbers. Now, I have to get the pastor to sign off and get it notarized. And a check to the Archdiocesan Tribunal. I have to render unto Caesar... :(

I am not dating anyone currently but I don't want to get involved with anyone and find out later that the Church still considers me sacramentally married. I would rather know now than later. Wish me luck

By chance, met a pretty Indonesian girl on a layover at Chicago O'hare while heading to Las Vegas. She's a Protestant convert from Islam, goes to a non denominational Church like myself, is conservative, shares my worldview and loves Donald Trump.

She's even visited the Church of my favorite tele-evangelist Pastor John Hagee. Incredibly based girl!

Best part is, as she got up to catch her flight, she handed me her phone number before I even attempted number close. We've been communicating. I'm blown away. Wish me luck fellas.
