The European Union needs to implement laws that prevent members (or former members) of other countries militaries from joining its ranks, as the US does. Non-native born citizens or naturalized citizens should be barred from enlisting. The Bundeswehr is having a similar issue in Germany, where Turks enlist to get experience and training, and then head off to Syria.
