After the FBI had requested for complete backdoor access to all of the users that used the email application Lavabit, Ladar Levison shut down the service completely; claiming he could no longer provide the security and privacy that he had originally promised the users.

The iron grip gets stronger and stronger, especially with the recent shut down of the Silk Road.

It's a tough fight between the government and the "hackers".

Although the "hackers" are smarter, the government has resources. A LOT of resources.
