Protein powder is a scam.

I don't understand this protein spiking thing at all. With the Gaspari Myofusion for example, the label clearly says it contains 25g/24.9g of protein per serving. The Chaos and Pain chart shows claimed grams of protein per serving, then the actual weight of a given serving, and then divides those two numbers to determine protein percentage per serving. Right? But, the label clearly states there is other crap in each serving and also clearly states how many grams of protein are in each serving. It would be a completely different story if the jug said 100% protein and then we find out the actual amount of protein is only XX%, but that is not the case here.

Watch this video here (from earlier in this thread) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8R20EVSwn88 - he explains that even 100% whey powder is not == 100% protein.

Someone please enlighten me where the scam is.

Check out this link ->

Then download Jamie Lewis's protein spreadsheet off Mega.

I'm not sure how to test directly for protein content, since shitty spiked protein will come up clear on a nitrogen test (complying with the FDA is why they spike it), but his spreadsheet has a list for which protein has greater than 1.5 grams of junk aminos per serving. As you can see, Nitrotech, Pro Complex, Myofusion, and Giant Protein all fail in this respect. The Gaspari protein spiking is notable because he claims it's a high quality product and it's damned expensive.

I guess I'm glad in hindsight that at least somebody read the C&P link.

The Chaos and Pain list is not evidence of protein spiking, it is only showing the difference in grams of protein per serving, and the weight if each serving, and the resulting % of protein in a given serving, which anyone that can read can see on any product label. Where is the actual evidence showing amino acids being counted as actual protein?

Mike, I understand how the amino acids and creatine show up on a nitrogen test, but the chart from Chaos and Pain that you are using as evidence of protein spiking isn't an honest measure of protein purity. Where are the lab tests showing % of fake protein in these products? That's what I would like to see.
