Race riots 2020

Every white person in this video should go to jail:

That little kid is painfully shrieking several feet away from a bunch of cops, who also happen to be white. They don't care.

Kids yelling "stop it" which is what this bullshit started over in the first place. Then you can hear some white guy yelling at the cops in the background. There are some real trash humans in America.

Aloha!

After taking in all of this for a few days now I would say this is unprecedented because this is actually far worse than a standard race riot. This is a weird mixture of an anarchist riot with racial roots. This would be much better if it was a race riot where whites were exclusively being targeted such as Baltimore. This is a different beast, it's a widespread anarchist riot with urban millennials and gen z of multiple races(highly black but it's very mixed). Whats scary about this is I've been looking at a significant amount of social media in the past few days and we are at a point where a significant amount of white kids are for these riots....even kids living in the suburbs I have seen giving the approval on this which means I think we are almost certainly screwed as a country long term.

In some ways it feels like some Children of the Corn movie with this rioting. The problem the police have is that they are on egg shells in their response but we are starting to get to a point where it's literally going to be impossible to maintain order without getting to martial law in cities.

With this said I'm really fascinated on the outcome to the idea of living in cities going forward at least for the next few years. Many cities had a lot of progress with gentrification and prices going sky high. Anyone here want to guess what real estate prices might end up being like now that we had covid19 and riots in cities? Plus the economic downturn. I can't think of a less desirable place to live than in any city at this point besides going somewhere civil like Japan who smartly have extremely strict immigration policies.

There is an unhealthy amount of whites involved/supporting

It’s the most dissuasive issue for me. How many whites of the younger generations minds have already been fried.

Normal, non liberal white folk may make up only 30% of the population now.

The assertion that the USA is f-ed in the long run is probably shared by many here and elsewhere.

What simply boggles my mind is the weak response from the Trump Administration. Is this part of some 4D chess strategy? I can't see his angle

The Democratic led states and cities have their agenda, and by now it should be pretty clear to all what that is. But why is the federal government's response so weak?
There's honestly not much the feds can do on short notice. Police and national guard are controlled by mayors and governors.

People are fed up. Before this we had 60% of the population antagonistic towards current leadership, predatory healthcare practices, growing poverty, constant mass shootings, most people couldn't string $500 together, zero economic opportunity in 90% of the country, aggressive race baiting on all sides, police brutality...and this was before COVID. Post COVID we have 40 million employed, with all of the same problems as before...and now, in two weeks, three of the worst examples of race related brutality we've seen in years. We have a dude who got run down and shot for running while black in a white neighborhood, a completely innocent woman who got shot in her own home by the cops, and now George Lloyd, which even bonafide white nationalists can agree is an atrocity.

The right and the left love to paint things in a racial light and there's some value to that....but what we're really seeing is the American masses rising up in general. There are white people EVERYWHERE at these protests. Your bank account doesn't care what color you are, broke is broke. Your mortgage, rent, medical bills etc don't care what color you are either. So instead of having black and white, you have a mob of pissed off Americans who have nowhere to go, no way to feed themselves, and no way out in their minds other than violence.

2016 was the last opportunity to truly rectify this, but instead we got the opposite. It's encouraging to see people on the right wing realize how much Trump has failed and manipulated them. A better president could have precluded something like this from happening. It's not 4D chess, it never was. He's just an incompetent who got white people riled up enough to vote for him. Long running strategy -- get whites (specially poor ones) pissed off over race, get elected, then aggressively fuck them over while lining your own pockets.

At the end of the day all this race shit is the straw that breaks the camel's back. A single or even a couple racist murders would go unnoticed in a stable society. This isn't just about race. This is about the elites fucking over the common man of every color for decades. I'd encourage people not to cuck for the current status quo. Maybe it's more harmful to some ethnicities, but when you have elites like ours, everyone gets fucked.

I know in 2016 many were saying if Trump didn't win the country would collapse. Trump's policies didn't win, even if the man himself did, and the country is collapsing. Young people feel completely hopeless. They can't afford to go to college without going into debt for the rest of their life. If they do graduate college the number of jobs are very limited due to out of control immigration. If they do land a job the pay is too low for them to buy a home and start a family due to out of control immigration. These young people have no future and more and more are realizing it.

Part of this is anger. I think a lot of it is they just have nothing else to do. There are no jobs with coronavirus. Even the jobs before coronavirus lacked decent pay or benefits, often called "gig" jobs. The young women are turning to sugar daddy websites to find men who can even afford to date them. They young men are giving up hope.

I am fortunate to be older and not have to face this. But if I have kids they would have to face this so I keep my ear to the pulse and I understand the frustration these young people have. And right now their frustration is towards a system they see, rightfully so, as unjust.

I just wish they had a leader that could get them to channel that anger towards the wall street bankers, by name not by genetic term "wall street banker". Towards people who have stolen their futures like Nancy Pelosi, Jared Kushner, Chuck Schumer, Lindsey Graham, etc. Because they have every right to be furious but the anger isn't pointed at the right people.

The number of jobs weren't limited...if you went to the right school or lived in the right place. A big problem was that job growth wasn't spread across the country. You would see hundreds of startups popping up in the Bay Area on a monthly basis, while everything north of it except Seattle/Portland was basically a wasteland in terms of prospects. Irresponsible capitalism is cancer. The elites made no effort t extend opportunity to parts of the country that actually need it. The tech industry is one of the biggest drivers of wealth in the entire country and the people in charge made no effort to make it accessible to people in (for example) West Virginia or rural Oregon.

Trump did nothing to fix things like this. He could have instituted a program that would get Americans into IT and tech jobs through low-cost and concentrated training programs. Would have solved white America's concerns about immigration, outsourcing, and poverty in one stroke. Instead we got three years of tweets, petty beefs, and embarassments. And now we have 100,000 people dead from coronavirus and half the country on fire. Example #09812318209 of right wing leadership throwing bread to the masses while fucking them out of their livelihood for sport.

If what you are saying is true then why are all the protests in blue leftwing cities, and not in the impoverished and prospectless countryside - where people have more right to be angry then anywhere else?

There is a clear political and cultural component and you are forgoing it by stating that this is 'an uprising of the masses' (which is rethoric straight from communist propaganda bytheway)

^That's an interesting point. I don't really know why there aren't protests in rural areas. Probably because cops aren't killing anyone out there and those areas have been thoroughly indocrinated to accept their own poverty because, well, their local GOP rep told them that demanding anything else would be socialism.

I don't condone the looting but realistically even rural whites are letting themselves get played. You have whole towns out there mired in poverty and drug addiction and the GOP does fuck all about any of it. Like I said earlier, their scam is keeping conservative whites poor and pissed off enough to vote for them, while offering them absolutely nothing in return.

I don't really know what else you'd call it, it's a multiracial mass protest, and things have been leading to this for a while. I don't really give a shit how my rhetoric sounds, reality is millions of Americans are a couple missed paychecks away from starving, being homeless, and consequently going on the warpath because of it. If taking measures to fix that is "socialistic", then fuck it, I'm a socialist. The only alternative is massive state repression which will lead to outright warfare on the streets. IMO what's needed is for Chauvin to get convicted and executed and massive reform enabled to help people out financially suffering from COVID. GOP concerns about the free market and capitalism mean as much as a wet fart when entire cities are suddenly jobless, pissed off, and have a lot of time on their hands.

The difference is that the Left is actually offering a way forward, even if it's inevitably going to be a dead end. Most people, especially the young, don't realize that. They're going to find out that the light at the end of the Left tunnel is just a kerosene lantern.

But the Right? They're pointing down a tunnel that you can see dead-ends from where you're standing.

"The great freedom of our country is to pull yourself up by your bootstraps while competing against foreign scabs as the cost of living skyrockets and the federal government pours countless billions into the markets to keep boomer portfolios fat, even while those same boomers lecture you about socialism".

Yeah, if that's the future the Right offers it's little wonder nobody is taking up arms to protect it.

The actual American Right would be anti-federal (to the point of demanding dissolution and a do-over at best), hardcore Christian, anti immigration (certainly at least requiring immigrants to be Christian), anti-taxation and anti-regulation (for everyone, not just banks and corporations).

The dialect of Right vs Left these days is a joke anywhere in the West. What you have is the Far Left vs the Soft Left. Trump only ran on what by any reasonable analysis was a centrist platform at best, and under the current dialect it was labelled "far Right", but the takeaway there is that the horse has well and truly bolted before the farm gate could be closed. The horse in in another county now, and it already lived a long life and died of natural causes. It's bones are currently bleaching in the sun. That's how far gone the polity is.

So the choice for these disenfranchised youth literally boils down to "more of the same" (Benjamide Shapiroski et al) or "the peoples revolution".

Most people don't remember or even know what it's like growing up poor, but even kids like me could make their way in the West 20 years ago.

If I were 15 right now, I'd be right there with the "burn it all down" types, because there is no apparent alternative.

Agreed and that's why the GOP in its current form will lose the culture wars. Think about it this way -- you're in an unbearable economic situation. You're broke, have no job, have no prospect of getting a job, and even if you got a job you're one broken arm away from being bankrupt and homeless. Your mental health is deteriorating and you can't afford therapy or meds, one or more of your friends is seriously depressed to the point of being suicidal, pretty much everyone you know is also suffering mental health issues. You may even have a kid or a girlfriend who you need to take care of, and where that money will come from is anyone's guess. You supposedly live in the greatest country on earth, but people in third world countries have a better quality of life than you do. On top of that you're 60,000 in debt for a degree from a college that offered you zero guidance on how to find work afterward. I just described probably all of the 40 million Americans who are currently unemployed from coronavirus.

Now you have two choices of political parties to support. One annoys you, their leaders are hypocrites, they push racial agendas, they don't have a great track record in some cities...but they at least listen to you. They acknowledge that it's beyond fucked up that you can't afford basic healthcare. They acknowledge that it's beyond fucked up that the cops can kill you and get away with it, that you're cut off from economic opportunity. They may not actually do anything to help you, but they at least make the effort to empathize with you.

The other party, however, will pretend like your problems don't exist, that anyone who voices those problems is a communist who hates America, that the president's beefs with random senators and Angela Merkel deserve more airtime than the fact that you're skipping meals to feed your kids, that the poor deserve to be poor and the rich deserve to be rich, that victims of police brutality deserve it, that the unemployed deserve to be unemployed, that a $1,200 check is supposed to compensate for endless unemployment because any more would be "socialism".

So at the end of the day, for the average American, it's really not much of a choice at all. The GOP's only hope is to keep trying to radicalize and indocrinate whites. It will work on some, but the rest will realize that they're still broke, they're still unemployed, and the guy responsible for making sure those things don't happen is a Republican.

I think the alt right might survive as militias will likely become much more of a thing in the coming years. The GOP as we know it, short of a power grab and attempt to create an authoritarian state (which would essentially destroy the world), is done. It's not just educated liberals complaining about Orange Man Bad at this point. It's tens of millions of Americans with nothing to lose and everything to gain from taking the power structure and smashing it to pieces.

“There’s class warfare, all right, but it’s my class, the rich class, that’s making war, and we’re winning.” Warren Buffett.

Well, I guess Warren Buffett has to bring the military to control the situation then. Contrary to most people here, I don't think this is Antifa/Left/Black or whatever. This is a class warfare. It used to be mostly black because black in the US was disproportionately poor. But if you look at the videos of the last couple days there is a significant number of white people, asian and some mixed or whatever race it is.

I didn't spend much time in America but I already noticed that there is a significant part of society that is marginalized. So marginalized that it's no longer part of society.

Normal people don't go looting, burning and hitting random people. When was the last time you did that? When was the last time you actually peacefully protested? It's people who have nothing to lose who do that because they have absolutely nothing. And now it's not only the black but also white people who have no money, no stable jobs, no girlfriend, no sex, no travelling, no family, no college education, have credit card debts, and have to work 8 hours per day with 2 hours commute while sharing a one-bedroom with 3 other strangers.

On the other hand they look at a real-estate market where they'll never be able to buy anything. They look at a shitty relationship life where they'll never be able to get married or have a stable girlfriend because most girls now are jumping tinder/instagram or doing porn for $$. They don't have families because they don't know who fucker brought them to life and their mother was a narcotic abuser. They don't have health insurance because they can't afford it and already have unpaid medical bills. They do have iPhones because they can afford that shit with plans and that's as far as they can get close to modern society.

Interesting times but the U.S. will be fine this time. Maybe.

Yup, glad people are seeing the reality of things. Our economic situation is kind of like a forest fire -- it may burn some parts of the forest worse than others, but ultimately it doesn't matter who you are, if you're on the wrong side of it your ass is getting burned alive. Black people get the worst of it, but white people are close behind and soon it'll be just about everybody until we see some meaningful change in this country.

I'd say there are two components at play here 1. the obvious economic plight and the generational wealth/opportunity gap you are mentioning here (that boomers and some gen X-ers like to scoff at by calling you a crybaby and semi-male)

And 2. The cultural marxist brainwashing that this generation has been undergoing for.. basically their whole life now. Much unlike the rural counterpart

The indoctrination cam.. I mean high schools and universities (and bars) are all closed so these people have all the time in the world to riot and turn the country upside down

This is what happens when you let socialists infiltrate and take over the educational institutions. Antifa used to be 4 idiots and a braindead dog, now it is an army

I hate I told you so posts but I said back in the coronavirus thread that blacks would find a reason to riot soon. It's literally a cycle with these people. Look now what is happening. It's beyond obvious. I lived through '92 in Los Angeles. These people just have a cycle like a pupae. Live, breed, destroy, breed, and live. Like insects.
