Police think there will be unrest where I live. And it's not even summer yet. Just stock up on food and get ready to stay at home for a couple days.
With riots and looting already kicking off, I would love to be a fly on the wall in the jury room when they get sequestered. The jurors in Chauvin's case have got to be aware of the fact that not only will an acquittal be a guarantee of widespread civil unrest (in the city the jurors themselves live in), but that they will be painting a large target on their backs for the mob to aim at should their identities ever come out. No matter how unbiased they may try to be, that is going to factor in at least somewhat to the verdict they reach.
Anyone who hasn't gotten out of big cities by this point really doesn't get it.
Definitely seems like the prognostic 2020 riots will be arriving to us in 2021, just in time for a historic precedent from Franco's Spain, which experienced wide-spread riots culminating in civil war, after a stolen winter election, as soon as the weather became nice.
