I can't even imagine what it must be like to be that tall.
Serious question. Are people getting taller these days? And if so, why?
Is it due to assertive mating? Hormones in the food? High School and middle school athlete using HGH? Better nutrition? What?
From what I always understood seven feet was around to cut off as far as height goes and was incredibly rare. Especially if it wasn't due to some medical condition, like a benign tumor on the pituitary gland.
From what I always understood, reaching that height causes a number of problems like poor joints and the inability for your organs to keep up and function properly.
Also, from my own observations it seems that college aged women have gotten a bit taller over the last handful of years. Part of this is definitely due to economic disparities between upper middle class girls and lower class girls, but it seems to me to have been somewhat exaggerated in the last six or so years.
At the time I chalked it up to diet, nutrition, and engaging in sports. Specifically a better nutritious diet would help with maximizing potential, but even more if you were 5-15 pounds over weight during large portions of your childhood, instead of being underweight, then while you wouldn't be obese your bone structure would still change to a certain degree possibly adding on a inch or two.
With sports you get hormone increases and greater muscle mass which would seem to do the same thing. To be clear I am talking about maybe an inch or two at the most with what I have observed college women. I tend to notice being on the shorter side of the equation.
