Granted, the Monty Python movie is a comedy. However, what are the portraying? The time in pre-industrial Europe where common people lived in total squalor, with no plumbing, or refrigeration, with only rags for clothes, livestock sharing their living quarters, etc. On top of this, the bubonic plague was in full swing, with people dying left and right. They did literally have wagons going through town to collect the dead at that time. Other than the jokey dialog, I thought the scene provided a fair representation of those conditions.
That was what I was offering as worse than Philly.

This may be the entirely wrong thread for this, but perhaps a white pill of sorts, really liked what this politician had to say and I suspect he's pretty based on the crime issue as well. I will say I don't think that any white conservative would have the courage to speak like this. He did offer an apology, but just for the demons part of his speech, which I presume means he still thinks trannies are imps, which I find hilarious and accurate.

All the black politicians, leaders etc who speak out, whether here or in Africa, invoke God. They are not ashamed to worship Him.
White conservatives are ashamed and won't do it.
Muslims run roughshod over Europe for the same reason. They aren't ashamed of Islam.

I know that area very well. It's right in the heart of the Loop (downtown). Lots of tourists, office workers and close to expensive condos. Supposed to be safe and nice, and not have packs of hyenas roaming around. But the urban, white leftists enable it. The little thugs are lucky the yuppies don't want guns.

Watching this video would’ve made my blood boil in the past. But these days, not so much. I don’t want to pass judgement without having all the facts, however we can make an educated guess about the white woman who was beaten by this pack of wild animals. She’s irredeemably progressive, fully supports the entire insane leftist agenda, pro tranny, pro BLM, anti 1A, anti 2A, anti traditional American values, all of it. And if she or her family were interviewed about this incident, the first words out of their mouths would be how race had nothing to do with it. How can you have sympathy or root for someone like that?
I’m not sure what the solution is to this epidemic of out of control, unchecked, no-consequences black crime in America. The installed so-called leaders of these blue jurisdictions openly allow it. The Soros prosecutors and judges will not only charge or lock anyone up, but if you happen to defend yourself, you’re the one going to jail and have your life ruined. We no longer have a right to defend ourselves against black criminals. Imagine if that girl had a gun and managed to get a few shots off trying to fight back against the mob, she’s the one rotting in jail right now awaiting arraignment.
The only thing I can think of is to get as far away from these people as possible and live in a red city/state in which some semblance of law and order still remains.
It looks like she was trying to mediate and got snatched out of the way so the gangs could fight each other. If she were getting beaten, no way would she not be on the ground when the action moved.

I talked to a friend on CPD who used to be on the mayoral security detail. The guys assigned to Brandon Johnson are going to have to have their heads on swivels. He still lives in the hood. His house is run down and has trees growing out of the gutters. He owes a couple grand for unpaid water bills that we know about but is going to be in charge of a $12Billion dollar budget? We're screwed.
I had family that worked for CPD and still have a few friends although most are getting out. After having no contract for four years their union agreed to an 8 year/20% pay increase. That's insane for how things are going now. I am so glad that I didn't join CPD years ago.
Sorry to break it to you but this stuff doesn't happen in downtown detroit....it's a dump and the worst major city in the country but it's not like that, we have a different atmosphere.

If they want to keep doing police work for a somewhat better run department, with much better people to work with overall, that needs people send them my way and I'll make the introduction to the officer who can help facilitate that.
