I have never used gmail or hotmail in my whole life, and for many years am on specifically privacy defending providers. Facebook was dormant for years and is now gone, WhatsApp is now gone. Not sure about the not voting thing.. If there is a good candidate running, why not I'm currently contemplating what to do with twitter and instagram. Have barely used either of them but had them for perhaps a decade. The instagram in particular is like a small monument to a time in my life, but there are no relevant contacts on it really and the same for twitter. I never installed the apps of those and using them in browsers is not as bad. Still, twitter deleted @realdonaldtrump which is a reason to delete it, and instagram is owned by facebook against which I have a particular grudge for constant deception that they care about privacy. I hear flickr is a good alternative if you are into photography, which I am to some degree. A vicious boycott is a good idea. Pleased to say I have managed to use airbnb for research purposes but always circumvent it. They are into globohomo, forcing radical acceptionism on apartment owners. I enjoy my youtube account a bit too much to delete it (google account) and most of it is not politics. Also order very little on Amazon and sometimes research and buy elsewhere. Mozilla makes an open source browser and email program but I also think one day they will betray everyone and push an update that does some terrible evil. I'm just not sure about Mozilla.. @Handsome Creepy Eel gmail has to go, if you don't want Mozilla Thunderbird perhaps try https://www.mailpile.is/ with some provider from the other thread would be interested to hear how that goes
