Resisting against coronavirus laws

At the gym yesterday I saw that MSNBC was equally unhappy about the scenes from Tampa and Ybor of massive crowds of maskless people. It's funny seeing them fulminate about it while realizing that there's nothing they can do. Perhaps Washington Post or NYTimes will do an expose in a few weeks about the "tragic deaths resulting from the Tampa Superbowl superspreader event."

I'm getting more reports that Polish police is getting tired with enforcing virus rules. Quite a bit of them are on sick leave or dodging service in other way. I suspect that a good portion of them now recognize the game being played here. Police headquarters are trying to get round this problems by hiring from the lower tier of society, cutting training down from 6 months to 4 weeks. It has to be systemic non-compliance. The policemen have not been pushed against the people too much yet so everyone is keeping their cards close but there are voices that when push comes to shove and the gov tires to use them hard against civilians a lot of them will take off their uniforms. I have good reasons to believe that might be indeed the general sentiment among ranks. I don't think these guys went to service to help install totalitarianism, I don't think they are that blind.

Lovin' taking the piss at Mcdonalds...

They scan you on entry here (Kiev) so when they ask me to show my wrist for a temp check, I give them the Russian equivalent of the finger (thumb between knife/ring finger) and insist they scan that.

Sometime they do, sometimes they don't.

I then stand on the social distancing marker and call out my order to the girl, maskless.

They always insist on a mask, I always just use my hand, or a glove or theatrically hold my breath.

Today I even showed the guy my PCR certificate))

Yesterday they actually served me and I had to eat that dog-food.

My own stupid fault.

Germany too. I've read reports of lots of cops calling in sick because they can't cope with the pressure of having to act on orders that are against their conscience.

On the other hand I see lots of videos of police having a field day reprimanding maskless people _while skiing and sledding_.

Strange times we're living in.

Where I live I had three encounters with cops, while not wearing a mask (300€ fine) and not having sent the required sms to 13033 (500€ fine). Each time I was allowed to carry on with my business.

One time, I went maskless to the atm and there were 5 cops in full gear just 10 meters from it and a 6th cop drawing money from the atm in front of me. They ignored me completely.

I would love to pull off the bearded Salafi look, but I am afraid that I cannot pull it off convincingly - even if I know that everyone from supermarket clerks to cops would leave me alone and never ask me about my mask.

The UK certainly knows how to treat foreign visitors going forward. Assume all are sick i.e. guilty before proven innocent. All leading to individuals proving their worth to those who live for slithers of power and bullying.

Warning - propaganda full steam here:

That's been my experience here in Ukraine... can you imagine being tasked to harass people for not observing regulations you know are bullshit?

Also, I guess if there's a history of protest in your country, it's not in your interests to provoke people, as if things ignite you'll be on the front line.

Ammon Bundy, veteran of armed standoffs, builds militia network on COVID backlash

There’s a paywall for that article and I’d rather not have to visit the la times anyway.

Can’t you copy paste or give us a few highlights (assuming there’s something unique about this article besides the headline)?

Here a scientist - a phd in virology and immunology - risking his career:

I have a PhD in virology and immunology. I’m a clinical lab scientist and have tested 1500 “supposed” positive Covid 19 samples collected here in S. California. When my lab team and I did the testing through Koch’s postulates and observation under a SEM (scanning electron microscope), we found NO Covid in any of the 1500 samples.

by Derek Knauss, January 9th, 2o21

What we found was that all of the 1500 samples were mostly Influenza A and some were influenza B, but not a single case of Covid, and we did not use the B.S. PCR test. We then sent the remainder of the samples to Stanford, Cornell, and a few of the University of California labs and they found the same results as we did, NO COVID. They found influenza A and B. All of us then spoke to the CDC and asked for viable samples of COVID, which CDC said they could not provide as they did not have any samples. We have now come to the firm conclusion through all our research and lab work, that the COVID 19 was imaginary and fictitious.
According to him - it's nothing but a form of the flu - not more deadly than in other strong flu years. Personally I think that the tests are helping to spread some toxin that you can then give to your closed ones, but even that won't be dangerous.
The flu was called Covid and most of the 225,000 dead were dead through co-morbidities such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes, emphysema etc. and they then got the flu which further weakened their immune system and they died. I have yet to find a single viable sample of Covid 19 to work with. We at the 7 universities that did the lab tests on these 1500 samples are now suing the CDC for Covid 19 fraud. the CDC has yet to send us a single viable, isolated and purifed sample of Covid 19. If they can’t or won’t send us a viable sample, I say there is no Covid 19, it is fictitious. The four research papers that do describe the genomic extracts of the Covid 19 virus never were successful in isolating and purifying the samples. All the four papers written on Covid 19 only describe small bits of RNA which were only 37 to 40 base pairs long which is NOT A VIRUS. A viral genome is typically 30,000 to 40,000 base pairs.

With as bad as Covid is supposed to be all over the place, how come no one in any lab world wide has ever isolated and purified this virus in its entirety? That’s because they’ve never really found the virus, all they’ve ever found was small pieces of RNA which were never identified as the virus anyway.

There’s no pay wall when I access it, but the only important part of the article is the below link to the website “People’s rights” which contains all the relevant information.

Brothers, question from a newbie that I realize may instead belong in the Catholicism thread:
Should we wear masks in order to receive the Sacraments?
This came up because I’ve had to go “Church shopping” after being told that the police would be called if I refused to wear a mask during Mass at Church A, and just today a deacon at Church B (where I had received the Sacrament of Confession multiple times with no mask) across the street from me enforced the mask rule. (I ended up finding a church farther away for this Sacrament).
Long term, it seems like masks are here to stay and I’m struggling with either giving in and wearing one to receive a Sacrament or to refuse to wear one and hope that where I go will tolerate my decision. I’m also really worried that if God gives my fiancée and I children in the next few years there may be no Catholic churchs and schools that *don’t* require facemasks for parishioners & students. What is the Christian thing to do then?
Appreciate any and all advice. God bless.
