Biggest reasons why we are a long ways from 1950's America:
1. Letting faggoty Japanese, German, and other foreign cars into the United States, thereby destroying the auto industry, the steel industry, and numerous other sectors of the economy. If they don't come in and aren't allowed in, people obviously won't buy the shit.
Oversimplification - the US car manufacturers produced excellent cars back in the 60s and 70s and started themselves with the shitty planned obsolescence. Off-shoring of jobs began soon after and was the main reason for loss of jobs. Also they destroyed the economic model and made it ever more predatory starting in the 1970s - real income was going down for Americans since then - the only reason why it appeared to go up is because debt ratios went up and women started increasingly working. The economy now in the US is 80% underclass and 20% corporate, successful - that is on the way to a Dickensyan economy. If you had not accepted German or Japanese imports then US automakers would make cars that fall apart 1 month after a 3-year-warranty.
2. Increased use of both prescription and street drugs.
Most low-IQ jobs are lost now or get paid shit. Real unemployment is closer to 20%. Jobs below IQ of 95 are close to non-existent. 95 is what you need for a McDonald's cashier job. So what should the 15% of the population do who cannot compete? They take drugs and get prescription drugs. In addition you have the before mentioned Dickensian economic model.
3. Government giveaways. People who earned the right to a pension are more than entitled to receive one, as are military veterans. Cut the rest of that shit immediately.
All good and well, but technological unemployment and offshoring is real. Jobs are not going to magically appear if you dropped social security. There are ways to change things and make social security smart - for example no single motherhood households - married father must be in house, bigger cheque for biological married father, even bigger cheque for biological married father with documented high IQ, change of economic model so that jobs come back - but all of that does not happen over night. Scrapping social security will just cause riots and massive increase of crime and not much more.
Do you think our fat fuck president and other losers like Hilly Clinton will ever say anything remotely close to what I just did? Hell no. They know exactly what the deal is. They just can't afford to offend people, hurt their feelings, or piss them off, which would cause them to lose millions and millions of votes.
