The secret to brussels sprouts is you gotta roast the crap out of them. Do them at a normal temperature for a bit, then add some more butter and put them under the broiler for a while, get that almost-char on the outside, then season and serve.
There's also a way to cook them with a really, really creamy butter-hollandais(ish) type sauce that is delicious, but they basically have to be swimming and totally saturated. But otherwise the roasting way is amazing and healthier too.

I like a little bacon and chipotle seasoning on mine. That roasting is the secret for sure :like:
