Here’s a semi related topic of discussion.
Out of all the places in the world, Africa has the most intense natural selection pressure and has for a long time. It’s a harsh climate in many areas with disease, parasites, intense heat, limited food, and very little in the way of modern amenities to Cushion those who live there from those hardships.
One would think that given the last four hundred years or so of this dynamic existing we would have seen significant demographic benefits resulting from such an intense selection pressure over centuries more time than that pressure has been eased from a European civilizations.
However on average none of that has been realized. Why not? One would expect a eugenic effect to have manifested by now due to the fact that if you have any dysgenic features about yourself you die off quickly there.

Sure it has, they act like self serving feral animal which is exactly who would best survive. They haven’t done anything intelligence wise to actually improve their situation so only the most wild ones survive and flourish. It’s adaptative backwards progression….I think I coined a new term there!
I think it was in the book "Thinking Fast and Slow", or perhaps "Guns, Germs, and Steel", but it talks about two survival mechanisms that organisms will gravitate towards over time. In times/areas of scarcity, then traits favoured are aggression, wiliness, look out for yourselves at all costs, as there is simply not enough to go around, so getting yours by any means necessary is what it takes to survive. It's better to get dinged up in a fight and have food, then to be in the same fight that relieved you of said food, and consequently starve.
Contrast that with areas/times of plenty. With the benefits of mild climate, good soil, draught animals, there is more than enough to go around. In these sorts of instances, cooperative, peaceful traits are the one that survive, as since your going to have enough to eat regardless, it makes no sense to risk mortal injury so that you can have a second supper, while the person you fought with for it also still has more than enough to eat.

He still has not learned:

Sure, he has a point. However, these kids are still dirtbags that need to be caned and sent to a reeducation through labor camp for a reasonable amount of time. Prison reform is needed. It should be a mix of punishment and education and sentences should be reasonable. However, bottom line is these kids are punks. There are plenty of poor kids that behave. Abraham Lincoln grew up poor, his mother and sister died when he was young (along with many neighbors), he didn't attend school very much, his family didn't have a car, he lacked access to recreation centers and libraries and museums, and zoos (which Atlanta kids have access to), and he still managed to do pretty well.
These city leaders are the reason many inner-city youth grow up to be garbage adults. They have adults making excuses for their behavior instead of sitting down and telling them to be responsible and stop making excuses.
Also: Race is not an excuse in modern America and it has not been in many years. In 1930, it was a valid argument but not today. Thomas Sowell and Walter Williams grew up poor and without fathers in their lives (Sowell's died when he was young, Williams father abandoned the family) and they became successful economists. They are black (if you don't go by Joe Biden's definition of 'black') and still managed to be successful. The key is that like Lincoln, they valued learning and improving themselves.

Might be expecting too much logical thought, but if they fracture DC along these lines, let it be so. In 1 year Anacostia will be screaming for more gibs from their gentrified neighbors. Could be interesting.
