only my sweat so far, maybe also the urine, but i'll need to get a good wiff of that later. Haven't noticed breath yet...

But that's interesting. I wonder if everyone is confusing ammonia with acetone, or some people smell ammonia, and others acetone.

Then I guess group a is enjoying the side-effects of protein metabolism (nitrogen), and the other group is in ketosis.

If I am in ketosis, then with a tough exercise regimen, it took about 2 days before my sweat started to smell. Will pay attention to this next week. Right now I'm looking seriously forward to my carb-rampage tomorrow.

i really dont see the point of going full keto.carbs are more protein sparing than fat.i do lowish carbs during the week when dieting (have enough on workout days, around 120-150g carbs then lower on off days. and then "skipload/shitload" on sunday (all high gi carbs) to increase the metabolism, increase leptin and top up nearly empty glycogen stores

I don't max anymore, but max rep calcs tell me my bench is 304, squat 450, deadlift is 515 with straps. Had a shoulder injury not too long ago so my bench is not at PR levels. Haven't worked on deadlift for a bit (I usually focus a few months on squat, a few on DL, alternating).

Over the years my lifting goals have moved from "keep trying to hit PR's constantly" to "be cautious and avoid injury as much as possible." Lifts are not the impressive considering I've been going to the gym for a long while now, but I put lifting on the back burner for a long time to focus on wrestling and Muay Thai. Quit those after getting a lot of repetitive injuries but I think I'd like to get back into BJJ again which seems like the combat sport which is sustainable the longest (although lots of people get knee injuries from leg locks).

Anyway, I wanted to ask; how would you build a big chest with calisthenics? Seems impossible.
It annoys me when these body weight training trolls talk about all you need to train is an empty space. It's ridiculous. How would you do your Chest? How would you do your biceps? Back?
1 armed pushups, handstand pushups, pullups and chinups working up to a 1 armed chin.

That's right, they're from the one rep max calculator. I used the calculations from either heavy triples or sets of 5.

As I said, I don't max anymore. All I care about is the longevity of my training (ie being able to train continuously injury free). There is no reason to max unless you absolutely need to for calculating percentages, or you compete as a power lifter.

STLmatic, nice squat. Suited or raw?
