They have though. After years of steady growth it leveled off after TUF left Spike - then tanked last year. It's rebounded this year thanks to setting up better cards but that can't last given how thin a lot of weight classes are.Cr33pin said:UFC 189 was the best main card in UFC history
I don't think its dying... I don't hear of UFC having a hard time selling tickets to shows or selling PPVs.... I haven't herd of a mass of fighters leaving the organization to go fight in the tough man competitions.
I am however getting sick of hearing about Rousey and Mayweather.
Ronda Rousey has escalated her public war of words with Floyd Mayweather by saying she would beat him in a ‘no-rules’ fight.
“Floyd is one of the best boxers of all time,” Rousey wrote during a Reddit Ask Me Anything session. “He would definitely beat me in a boxing match. I unfortunately don’t get into ‘matches.’ I fight for a living.
“In a no-rules fight, I believe I can beat anyone on this planet,” she said. “Boxing is a sweet science with strict rules that I respect very much and aspire every day to improve at. But you said ruleless fight, and that’s my honest answer.”
Rousey is the undefeated UFC female bantamweight champion and was named the female athlete of the year at this year’s ESPYs. She was angered in July 2014 when Mayweather claimed he didn’t know who she was, something Rousey said was untrue. “He was running against me for Best Fighter that year, and he had signed MMA fighters, so his feigned ignorance was meant to really be a snarky remark to me,” she said at the time.
In an interview with the Guardian on Monday, another UFC champion, Conor McGregor, expressed similar sentiments to Rousey. “In a real fight I would dismantle [Mayweather] in seconds,” said McGregor. “Ronda would dismantle him in seconds – 100%.
“When you don’t know how to grapple you don’t stand a chance. For us, it’s like playing with a baby. People who don’t understand the sport cannot understand how vulnerable they are. There are always clinches and Ronda is a judo Olympian. She would throw Floyd on his head in a second. Me? I would knock him out. Cold.”
Rousey also referred to a potential fight with Cristiane ‘Cyborg’ Justino during the Reddit discussion. “The delay is all about money, not her weight. She made 145 pumped full of steroids,” wrote Rousey. “She can healthily make 135 without them. Her shows that she headlines lose thousands of dollars, and the majority of the tickets are given away because no one will buy them. She needs me.
“So pretty much we’re waiting for her to realize that she needs to fight me before I retire or she’ll never have enough money to retire. I would like me kicking her ass be my retirement fight but whether she steps up or not I’ll walk away undefeated and happily ever after regardless.”

She'd be rendered unconscious by the time she got within 3 feet of Floyd.
These dopey UFC assertions are founded on the strange idea that a boxer is going to stand there and allow a MMA fighter to put their hands on them.
That clown McGregor would be off to hospital with his jaw in pieces and sucking soup through a straw for the following month if he tried.
The real point though is can these MMA fighters stop using Floyd as a vehicle to run their mouths off and gain publicity? They should stand or fall by what they do in their own sport. The lot of them should just shut the fuck up and fight. You dont hear guys like Georges St Pierre running his mouth off every 10 seconds

So a boxer would just stand there whistling while the MMA fighter dives at their feet would they? Utter bollocks.
The boxer would drop to a knee and uppercut the MMA fighter into the middle of next week. A boxer with a boxer's movement, especially one like Floyd will not allow a MMA fighter to just dive at his feet and get him off his feet. No chance.
If boxing skills are so irrelevant to MMA fighters why is it that almost all of them begin a fight by looking to box before they look for takedowns or kicks? I watch both sports and to act as though boxing skills are meaningless is complete nonsense.

This idea is an insult to boxing and Mayweather.
Go watch some old Boxing matches and you see this sport isn't a joke.

Turns out Rousey is dating a woman beater, but he's bigger and stronger than Mayweather. She can't stop talking about Mayweather because she wants that good D!
