Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov

I've quite impressed with the demeanor and smoothness of Sergey Lavrov. I wanted to start a thread for his pronouncements and the like.

He's 72 years old but comes across as younger. It turns out that he's half-Armenian like me, which may explain his slight tan:

Lavrov was born on 21 March 1950[2] in Moscow, to an Armenian father from Tbilisi, Georgian SSR, and a Russian mother from Noginsk, Russian SFSR. His father's surname was originally Kalantaryan.[3][4][5] His mother worked in the Soviet Ministry for Foreign Trade. Lavrov graduated from high school with a silver medal. Since his favorite class was physics, he planned to enter either the National Research Nuclear University or the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, but he entered the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) and graduated in 1972.[2]

During his education at the MGIMO, Lavrov studied international relations. Soon he learned Sinhalese, then the only official language of Sri Lanka, as well as Dhivehi, the official language of the Maldives. Moreover, Lavrov learned English and French. After he was admitted to the university, Lavrov, along with other students, was sent for a month to a student construction brigade building the Ostankino Tower.[6]

During his summer vacations, Lavrov also worked in his university's student construction brigades in Khakassia, Tuva and the Russian Far East. Each semester, Lavrov with his fellow students conducted drama performances, which were later presented on the main stage of the university. During the third year of his studies, Lavrov was married.[7]

I remember reading this article many years ago and thinking it was interesting, especially since the Western media tries to portray Russians, down to their diplomats, as culturally insensitive, imperialist brutes.

According to sources, diplomats from the Russian embassy surprised the Indians with their command over Hindi. One of the Russian diplomats who interpreted for the Rogozin-Modi meeting was more comfortable in translating from Russian to Hindi than the Indian interpreter, who was from a non-Hindi speaking state.

Overall, without going into details, western representatives (especially U.S sec of state Blinken) were trying to make the entire G20 summit about the war in ukraine, which is of little interest to most of the G20 countries.
Now, when it comes to the details, I believe that when Lavrov said

(...) I would like to apologise to the Presidency and our colleagues from the Global South for the improper behaviour of a number of Western delegations, which turned the discussion on the G20 agenda into a travesty in an attempt to shift their responsibility for failures in economic policy to others, primarily Russia. (...)

He was reffering to Blinken's previous statement

African countries in particular have told us time and again that, more than aid, what they want is help building the sustainable capacity to feed their own people, and we’re teaming up to do just that. Now the unprecedented levels of food insecurity have been driven primarily by climate, by COVID, and by conflicts, but the crisis has been worsened intentionally by President Putin, who’s weaponized the hunger of people across the globe. (...)

Which is factually untrue - Russia didn't witheld fertilizer shipments, it was the west that impounded Russian merchant vessels in ports. Not to mention that some of the western sanctions, like disconnting Russian banks from the SWIFT system, made it very hard for some of the developing countries to purchase grain from Russia.
Further, when Blinkens talks about the Black Sea grain deal, how it helped to feed the world, it's also untrue - most of the ukrainian grain didn't go to the global south.
Was it really improper/embarrassing ? Hard to tell for me since I wasn't there, but the audience of Lavrov speech was - many of them (maybe even all of them) had meetings with Blinken and other western diplomats, so they know exactly what he's talking about.

The corrupt Western leaders have been talking about feeding Africa since the 80s, maybe earlier, who knows. If it hasn't happened yet after 30 or 40 years, it's not going to happen and in fact was never intended to happen. I'm sick of the lies. Will the lies of the corrupt Jewish Biden regime and the so-called West ever cease?
