Lance Reddick’s cause of death has been revealed.The late Wire star had two heart conditions: ischaemic heart disease and atherosclerotic coronary artery disease, according to his death certificate obtained by TMZ.
Ischaemia is a condition in which blood flow and oxygen is restricted or reduced in a part of the body, per the American Heart Association.
Arteriosclerosis, meanwhile, occurs when “blood vessels that carry oxygen and nutrients from the heart to the rest of the body become thick and stiff”, sometimes restricting blood flow to the organs and tissues, according to the Mayo Clinic. The clots may trigger a heart attack or stroke.
