School Board Meetings? Nah, FBI threat.

So now parents who don't want their kids muzzled and ploughed with CRT are terrorist threats:

Citing an increase in harassment, intimidation and threats of violence against school board members, teachers and workers in our nation’s public schools, today Attorney General Merrick B. Garland directed the FBI and U.S. Attorneys’ Offices to meet in the next 30 days with federal, state, Tribal, territorial and local law enforcement leaders to discuss strategies for addressing this disturbing trend. These sessions will open dedicated lines of communication for threat reporting, assessment and response by law enforcement.
“Threats against public servants are not only illegal, they run counter to our nation’s core values,” wrote Attorney General Garland. “Those who dedicate their time and energy to ensuring that our children receive a proper education in a safe environment deserve to be able to do their work without fear for their safety.”
According to the Attorney General’s memorandum, the Justice Department will launch a series of additional efforts in the coming days designed to address the rise in criminal conduct directed toward school personnel. Those efforts are expected to include the creation of a task force, consisting of representatives from the department’s Criminal Division, National Security Division, Civil Rights Division, the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys, the FBI, the Community Relations Service and the Office of Justice Programs, to determine how federal enforcement tools can be used to prosecute these crimes, and ways to assist state, Tribal, territorial and local law enforcement where threats of violence may not constitute federal crimes.
The Justice Department will also create specialized training and guidance for local school boards and school administrators. This training will help school board members and other potential victims understand the type of behavior that constitutes threats, how to report threatening conduct to the appropriate law enforcement agencies, and how to capture and preserve evidence of threatening conduct to aid in the investigation and prosecution of these crimes.
Threats of violence against school board members, officials, and workers in our nation’s public schools can be reported by the public to the FBI’s National Threat Operations Center (NTOC) via its national tip line (1-800-CALL-FBI) and online through the FBI website (http://fbi.gov/tips). To ensure that threats are communicated to the appropriate authorities, NTOC will direct credible threats to FBI field offices, for coordination with the U.S. Attorney’s Office and law enforcement partners as appropriate. Reporting threats of violence through NTOC will help the federal government identify increased threats in specific jurisdictions as well as coordinated widespread efforts to intimidate educators and education workers.

So I guess that being against depriving 5-year-olds of oxygen --> one is harassing and threatening school board members? What a joke.

Daughter of Attorney General who ordered DOJ to probe angry parents for domestic terrorism is married to founder of education group that promotes Critical Race Theory: Merrick Garland accused of a conflict of interest

  • Rebecca Garland married Xan Tanner, Panorama Education co-founder, in 2018
  • Tanner's company partners with schools on a number of data tools including surveys that gauge students' emotional and mental well-being
  • A survey given to 12-year-olds allegedly asks them about their sexuality
  • Panorama Education has contracts with NYC, San Francisco and Dallas schools
  • Critics of the company's surveys say they promote Critical Race Theory
  • Merrick Garland recently cracked down on parents protesting CRT and masks

What is even the point in speaking at these school boards? The public school system in America is completely lost. Even public schools in deep red areas are often full of vengeful leftists. You might win small battles, but the entire institution is against you, and they will increasingly take out vengeance on your beloved children. I feel for these parents, but every one of them needs to pull their kids out of these schools and figure out what’s next, it’s over.

Because the people are finally waking up to this madness with CRT and seeing what's really happening to their children.

So they attend these meetings and the school boards (and alsp the current Administration) are panicking that they are having an effect and this could snowball throughout the country.

That's why they want to shut this down right away and are willing to use the force of the FBI to shut down their 1st amendment rights. They can't afford to lose women/mothers, since they are typically easier to control. If that happens all their precious work could unwind.

Pulling your kids out isn't really a solution. The school boards/districts still get their money and will still be able to corrupt those that do attend, espcecially in lower income districts where you're even more likely to see these currculums. So you're still paying property taxes to support this racist garbage, on top the tuition you'll need for private school (or the opportunity cost of home schooling).

I agree people are waking up, but how can you trust your kids with these people after all this? They view the parents as enemies. They view white children, and especially males as flawed. The reality is, we need to accept that the K-12 school paradigm is dead, or at least only existing for leftist parents and various identity groups. There is no point in arguing with them because it’s a Socialist indoctrination camp, and 95% of the administrators and teachers support it to varying degrees.

Property tax is a problem, but in many cases pulling students out IS an effective method because there is a per-head funding basis as well.

My point is, as painful as it is, there is no going back to “normal”, and the sooner we accept it, the faster we can get comfortable and be successful with a new paradigm. Maybe that means a parent giving up a job to home school, maybe that means retirees in the neighborhood picking up slack and hosting home school groups, maybe it means private schools, churches, sports clubs, trade camps, whatever. Whatever is, the days of relying on even the best public school districts as glorified babysitters is over.

Start playing by our own rules. You still are giving these school board tyrants legitimacy by attending their little meetings so they can play dictator for an evening.

people are waking up

I'm not so sure. It's only an example but watching Matt Walsh yell at school board officials was just clickbait (and he's such a fake). I would guess there aren't too many of these people out there who are complaining at meetings, although it's more than they're used to. Then the media pounce and the people involved love their moment of fame for a cause...even though the most obvious thing in the world is just to remove your kid. Literally nothing is stopping you.

I know people who are protesting mask mandates at school boards. It seems more about how they're entitled to having their children shipped off to "free" daycare every day so they can watch Netflix and chill. People waking up would be removing yourself and your children from the system ASAP, not demanding a broke, corrupt system heal itself for your sake.

I agree, the people are less waking up and more just stirring in their sleep. Yelling at school officials shows how little they are aware just how bad it is now. Homeschooling is still seen as a "weird" thing that weird people do to make their kids turn out "socially maladjusted". They don't understand how far ahead the homeschoolers are in the game.

Short game - Get your own kids out of public schools
Long game - Run for school boards or volunteer time/money and support other traditionalist men who are doing so

In this case it is possible to do both simultaneously.

School districts play a HUGE role in home buying decisions for families, so a lot of these people probably really do feel entitled to it considering it's baked into their home values. Another thing is, it's hard to strip your kid away from their friends. Chances are your child is going to be devastated to leave their friends behind, and resent you for pulling them out. It's a band aid that will have to ripped off, but I understand the hesitancy from parents, that's why should be doing it in a coordinated fashion.

I am assuming that you don't have kids or that everyone has the means to homeschool or private school ect...

Sometimes PTA and direct parent teacher involvement solves the issues of woke garbage.

Wife and I did it this week regarding a homework class with our 12 year old where he was supposed to create his own religion.

We had many other parents across the district lose their lid and the assignment was removed.

I agree that @Parmesan is callous in his remarks, but everyone has the means to homeschool if you make the appropriate sacrifices.

Home school has merits and no doubt the ideal situation ... But
There are circumstance where having special needs kids (such as an autistic child) does in fact limit the effectiveness of resources available to the child.

Also the fact is that YOUR local tax dollars go to these schools. You should be able to get recourse with the admin for your child's education.

To be fair, I remember when the Biden administration immediately started investigating BLM and its affiliates for going around and harassing random diners and restauranteurs, and for all those times they were marching around with megaphones talking about killing cops and intimidating people and families in suburban neighborhoods. The DOJ has been great about classifying these people as the enemies of the state that they are, as well as members of Antifa, who routinely use not only threats but actual violence to express their discontent with the people whose children they want to rape. I’m confident we’ll see justice now that we have a constituent of Our Greatest Ally at the helm of the DOJ.

They have a stranglehold on the educational system. I expect there will be concerted efforts to make homeschooling illegal in short order after they “establish” that those unwilling to submit their children to state are terrorists. I would imagine that, in the foreseeable future, if your kid doesn’t attend a public institution, you can expect a visit from the thin blue line acting on the orders of your state, and then federal, government.

Many, many people still think they’re going to vote and/or protest their way out of this. I admire the optimism, but they don’t understand what’s happened.
