Message: <blockquote data-quote="BigFellow" data-source="post: 1334697" data-attributes="member: 15923"><p>The Republican-controlled Senate should refuse to approve any bill that provides funding for the Supreme Court.  Congress cannot constitutionally lower the justices' salaries, but they can refuse to appropriate all other funds, so that the justices have no secretaries, no clerks, no building upkeep or maintenance, no computer staff members, no janitors, no security guards, etc...  But the Republicans don't have a backbone and aren't going to do it.  They'll say "It's the law of the land now," and they will continue to send millions of dollars to the court.</p></blockquote><p></p>
