Smaller communities = easier to know who is on the up and up, and who is the town bike. Large urban cities encourage sex in the city lifestyles. They encourage careerism.
Country women aren't perfect, but they certainly are a better starting point for a LTR compared to your average city dwelling careerist chicken. I've spent time in both places. Much easier to find a down to earth woman in rural Idaho than in DC, LA or NYC. Not even close.
I guess I had a much different experience. Most of the cliques and girls I knew in the non-urban areas were off the charts wild, in the midwest, western mtn states, the southern US. The parties I saw and stuff I saw as a young teenager was as bad as any university; open sex, youth alcoholism, crime. And that was the bulk of the schools my friends and cousins attended. And that doesn't account for the rampant, entrenched drug use in rural areas that is far more prevalent today, than 20 years ago. Which is the result of poverty, joblessness, etc. In fact by the time I got to college it was a let down, my attitude in college was "been there done that", thats probably why I had a high GPA. Most of the kids that grew up in lily white suburbs and cities acted like they had never seen a party before.
Now dont get me wrong, there are home schooled and religious folks in these parts, but they are really few and far between. Having lived extensively in both, both as a kid and an adult, I would say the potential for trouble is far higher in the country.
