A group of 80 NBA players, including Kyrie Irving and Chris Paul, met on a call to discuss their concerns surrounding the season's potential resumption amid nationwide protests and unrest.
Irving, who set up the call, stated that he doesn't support the league resuming in Orlando out of support for civil justice reform. The call reportedly lasted one hour and 40 minutes.
“I don’t support going into Orlando. I’m not with the systematic racism and the bullshit. … Something smells a little fishy. Whether we want to admit it or not, we are targeted as black men every day we wake up," said Irving.
Avery Bradley, who spoke after Irving, said that now was time to “play chess, not checkers."
Other players on the call included: Carmelo Anthony, Donovan Mitchell, Dwight Howard, Malcolm Brogdon, CJ McCollum, Joel Embiid, Justin Holiday, Spencer Dinwiddie, Harrison Barnes, Al-Farouq Aminu, Tobias Harris, Kyle Lowry, Mike Conley Jr., Zach Collins and Myles Turner.
Anthony reportedly stressed the importance of unity and allowing young players to have a voice, while Howard added that playing games will only serve to distract the country from its current issues.
Mitchell spoke of his injury concerns due to a lack of being in a competitive environment, saying that “we’re taking a big (injury) risk.”

This could put players at odds with the primarily Jewish ownership & management of the NBA. The ownership is dying for games to get televised again globally so that they can rake in ad revenue ASAP.
 
This is again great news. The more men who get fed up and turn off the TV the better. My life has never been better since I quit watching TV. Dropping sports is a big bonus as well. Instead of living life through other men's glory you focus on your own life and work to improve it. Instead of distractions you get results.

The hypocrisy of supporting China against Hong Kong but undermining the US is lost on many. But it will be interesting to see if the BLM stuff doesn't fly in China, then they might change their minds about supporting it.

Actually if they just changed the rules of football and basketball - for example less time outs and less coaching - the player demographic would shift pretty rapidly and would look a little more like soccer. With football it might even shift to 80% white.
 
I don't feel safe attending NBA arenas. Most of them are in the automomous zones of major cities.

I'll spend my money on MLB and watch games out in the suburbs.
 
Slightly off topic - something I was thinking of today.

Up until about the 50s sport was much more local. My local football team regularly had about 10-25% of the town turn up for games. And all the players were local. And all the players in the opposition were likely local. Now only about 2% of the town turns up to watch players who are mostly from somewhere else; playing in [Company Name] League at the [Company Name] FC.

Sport is now a nothing. I never watched much, but I became so bored of the same clubs always winning, flush with big money without a single player from their home town. In school there was a handful of national clubs no one had any connection to who everyone supported.

This trend runs heavily through society. The big man down the coal mine would have had his options open with ladies and be married of to a lithe, young, feminine girl. Now many of those same girls are diverting their attention to some DJ from the big city, or some F-list celeb who slipped into their DMs.

Same with corporates.

Whether they're black or not really makes no difference. It's not any worse than the Europeans who lose their fucking minds over soccer matches.

The worst of it is people who become emotionally attached to "their" team and will base their entire mood around how their team performs. Some fans even start riots if their team loses (or wins). It's particulary stupid when you consider that teams don't really represent anything, since the players are traded around like commodities and the home city the team supposedly represents rarely contains actual players from that city - and even if it did, who the fuck cares?

I have always cringed that sports talk is so closely associated with masculinity and is almost a default subject to talk about. Because I don't partake in any of it, this has ruined friendships for me in the past, and I can't wait until this shit dies.

This may be true, however the social unrest will be greatly relieved by a snap playoffs. Also, I think my team (Thunder) is well-positioned since they have solid guys in it for the team and not the drama. Let's go NBA, FUCKING DO THIS!
 
I think this is another proof of how the country and the West at large is headed for disaster.
It doesn't matter that the "systemic racism" Kyrie talks about is only a figment of his imagination. Many of his fans will take his words at face value because Kyrie is their idol. They will not check FBI crime stats or even remotely examine the "systemic racism" narrative.
I think that whites are f***ed, because almost every single figure of authority, be it institutions or celebrities are explicitly or implicitly demonizing them. And I don't see any sign of this stopping.
 
You might not remember or even believe it, but well into the 00s, UEFA, the european soccer org, had strict rules for how many foreigners you could have on a team. It was 3 at first, leading to such teams as AC Milan in the 1990s with their dutch trio, Gullit, Van Basten, Reykard or what about Barcelona with Romario, Laudrup and Koemann?

It was changed to 5 eventually, then it changed to rules like you had to have at least 5 locals, but eventually I believe it was all scrapped by the EU and the local country orgs.

Soccer has been used to create support for multiculturalism in Europe along with the Eurasmus study abroad system. Those two, soccer and foreign floosies, have corrupted a generation of european men. As long as the football and floozy keeps cooming, then most europeans are content.

We saw the peak degeneracy of soccer last summer, when the african championships of Europe split the forum.

The Jewish owners will be subsidised somehow. Cultural marxism is first and foremost top of the agenda.

They will play the long march until the white cucks continue to worship and offer their hard earned to their black hero's and make sure they bring their wives, girlfriends and daughters to teach them the superiority of the non-white men.

I understand where you are coming from. I watched sports with my parents from the time I was 5 years old. I played them, basketball was what I was best at, I've played against former college players/professional international players, etc.

But the freedom you feel when you stop watching sports and stop caring is really amazing. You don't care if "your" team wins or not, and then eventually you don't even know if they are or are not playing. You start to do other things with that time that is far more fulfilling.
