I am circumcized, but my sons will not be, because it is a barbaric and senseless custom, introduced in the US for no good reason. Nowadays, fewer and fewer boys are, because parents are given a choice instead of circumcision being an unquestioned routine at hospitals.
Ironically, even from a religious point of view, circumcision as it's practiced now is not the circumcision that was practiced by Jews in Old Testament times, which was a symbolic shortening of the foreskin, rather than its complete removal. The current practice, removing all the foreskin, which is much more painful and traumatic, and much more liable to result in complications like excess scarring, pain during erections, or a curved erection because too much skin was removed on one side, was actually devised by rabbis who were concerned that Jewish athletes didn't look Jewish enough when they competed naked, as was the custom in the Hellenized ancient world. Circumcized Jews would sometimes pull their foreskins forward so they looked normal and uncircumcised when competing among the Greeks, so the rabbis thought "hey, we should just cut the whole thing off, so they won't be tempted to do that, and might be too embarrassed to participate in these worldly sports anyhow."
