I've lived in both big cities and small towns. I've also written about both in various threads.
Small towns have the worst domestic issues: infidelity, incest, abuse, intolerance etc, the worst quality of women, poorly educated population, drug abuse, child abuse, close minded socially awkward, dysfunctional, people. HOW anyone could ever appreciate living in a small town is beyond me, unless you're one of those "I hate people and want to live off the grid" weirdos or an insecure socially inept hick that feels uncomfortable around sophisticated people.
Big cities have a driven, motivated population with better morals, make better life decisions, have better social skills, LOOK better, function on a higher cognitive level and are just better quality humans.
Taking a pay cut for a BETTER quality of life and improving your odds of finding love I would think is the obvious choice.
If you're socially awkward, One of those guys whose life revolves around their high school social circle, an introvert, judgmental, Un-attractive, boring or small minded you will NOT like living in a big city.
