Not only did they get a strategic location economically but also geopolitically. This is a win win in their book and rightfully so. Biden dropped the ball so hard. Did globohomo tell him to withdraw so China could come in? Or is globohomo one with China and this is all a facade?
They didn’t leave Afghanistan due to tax payers money being a issue. I already know the Chinese have infiltrated our western society and have strong political and economical pull. They use our stupidity regarding BLM, feminism and all that other stuff to their advantage.
Actually, they did, at least Biden did, he was against the surge back under Obama and was already for withdrawal from Afghanistan. In his old age with senility starting to manifest, he is
somewhat more of a freespirit than the rest of his bunch, think of the unruly streak that some older people develop in their sunset years. Maybe he is becoming too senile to care about the dirt they have on him. I think he was just tired of that whole thing, those weekly briefings on the war progress must have bored him to death.
Part of the military command and analysts also wanted to pull out from Afghanistan in order to reposition their resources towards a looming confrontation in the Pacific with China, that's why it happened. I now think that the reason the pullout was so catastrophic was more because it was deliberately sabotaged by the faction that didn't want to leave, in order to make the pullout look like a disastrous decision, kind of a passive aggressive move. That is more plausible than incompetence, because the US military command, warts and all, is not nearly
that incompetent.
... However. Jihad is a fickle and collective action which calls for Muslims to pick up arms against a an aggressor. Look how Muslims from around the globe ran to Syria/Iraq. China has no qualms with squishing religions within its own backyard or the nations they “fund”. With their presence in Afghanistan for precious minerals and resources there could be hiccups if the ummah has an outcry on their treatment of Muslims.
China doesnt care for anyone but itself. This whole notion of “we will help you build etc” isn’t for the host nations benefit, it’s solely for China’s. New roads? Ports? Bases? They do it for their sake not the other countries sake, once they get what they need they could care less about your condition. It’s like a mosquito that sucks blood. You’re only useful to it alive and when it’s for what it needs you’re just another body.
China's development model is much more of a win-win for their 3rd world partners. They are very good at delivering infrastructure at low cost, and that component is crucial to the development of those countries. When China builds airports, roads, railroads, powerplants and housing in countries like Tanzania or Ethiopia, they aren't just looking for resources, they are looking down the road for cheap labor for their low-end manufacturing (which they have priced themselves out of domestically due to fast rising Chinese salaries) as well as a new consumer base for their Haier ACs, Xiaomi or Oppo phones and $4,000 electric cars. That is the essence of their long term infrastructure investment calculus.
The West hasn't been able to deliver for Africa, and certainly not in Afghanistan. You look at the potential in a place like the Congo, site of the world's greatest hydroelectric potential, there is no will or impetus for western oligarchs to develop that, they are happy to keep Africa in a state of stunted development in order to keep getting their resources at bottom prices.
The continent is flooded with virtue signaling NGOs who will provide the little locals with trinkets like small solar panels or dig a few wells here and there, give away a few condoms and jab a bunch of women. That, and a few billion dollar loans that corrupt local official will siphon off while keeping their countries in the IMF.World Bank debt trap, has been the real western development model for the past 50+ years.
China is instead offering to dam the Congo's Inga river complex and create the world's greatest energy complex, which will turn Congo into an energy giant that will export electricity to the whole continent, from South Africa to Egypt. They will have several major high energy consuming industries like aluminum smelters, cement factories, steel mills, pulp and paper there, owned by Chinese interests.
Those are the industries China wants to outsource because its energy costs are a lot higher and scarce, they would rather put that limited resource into making chips or planes. For a place like Congo, it's a huge opportunity with hundreds of thousands of jobs, and a viable path towards real development. China comes in with a lot of credentials having themselves gone that route and having pulled themselves from abject communist poverty to modern wealth in the span of three decades.
It's not just a win-win for China and Africa, but also for Europe, as an underdeveloped black Africa would result in the acceleration of the Kalergi great replacement plan.
