The Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez thread

Picked it from the outset.

All bark & no bite.

Now yes; she may be part of a wider demographic shift or part of a wider political & woke shift.
Yet she herself didn't turn out to be constructive nor productive at all.

AOC 'one of the least effective members of Congress,' study says

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) was among the least effective members of the last Congress, according to a study from a nonpartisan group.

While AOC introduced 21 'substantive' bills to Congress, her legislation failed to progress any further, according to the Center of Effective Lawmaking - a joint project between Vanderbilt University and the University of Virginia.

None of the legislation received action in committees, floor votes, nor did any become law, the data - collected from - found.

'She introduced a lot of bills, but she was not successful at having them receive any sort of action in committee or beyond committee and if they can't get through committee they cannot pass the House,' Alan Wiseman, a political scientist at Vanderbilt and co-director of the center, explained to the New York Post.
He added:'It's clear that she was trying to get her legislative agenda moving and engage with the lawmaking process. But she wasn't as successful as some other members were — even among [other] freshmen — at getting people to pay attention to her legislation.'
Insiders to the workings of Democratic House members say that many of AOC's colleague find her to be alienating.

'Tweeting is easy, governing is hard. You need to have friends. You need to understand the committee process, you need to be willing to make sacrifices,' one insider said. 'Her first day in Congress … she decided to protest outside of Nancy Pelosi's office.'

Another said that for AOC, 'legislation was never her focus. It was media and narrative.'

The last couple of statements sound about right.
No surprise she's ineffective as an individual.

Queer communist gets a visit from California Police at the behest of the DC Capitol Police after mildly critiquing this AOC talk with Jewish Community Council of New York guy. You can be the most vile antifa commie and attack people but say anything remotely critical of Zionism and watch the full force of the state come down on you.

What's more, people in the thread are saying it's "Fascism" that is doing this. Lol, nope. It's just Zionism.

The interesting thing is this. She may have not actually asked the DC police to do anything and she may not have even seen the tweet. It's certainly possible. Now that Antifa has warmed up to ZOG and Zionism, it could have very well have been one of them. There are left wingers whose sole job is to monitor left wing anti-semitism and it could have been one of them. It could have been some neocon who believes "LeFties R tHe ReAl aNtI-SeMiTeS." They are all on the same page when it comes to zionism and will unite to destroy anyone, left or right, who poses a threat to it. In this case, I think it's of extreme importance to help people, both left and right, to realize that Zionism is the de facto State ideology and will attack anyone, again either left or right, that challenges it.

A Tesla Model 3 reportedly belonging to Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been spotted parked illegally outside a Whole Foods in Washington D.C.

The $35,000 Tesla with New York plates and a Congressional parking pass was pictured in a no-parking zone near AOC's luxury DC apartment on May 14, the Washington Free Beacon reported.

Sources told the Free Beacon that AOC had been seen driving a white Tesla in the neighborhood.
In October 2020, the NYC Congresswoman revealed she had bought an electric vehicle to avoid having to take public transport to commute from New York City to DC during the COVID pandemic.

The story prompted surprised reactions online that AOC might have purchased a Tesla, as the socialist firebrand has pledged to rail against the billions of dollars in low-interest loans and tax breaks that had helped the company become the leading electric vehicle company in the world.
Others pointed out the irony of her car being spotted outside a Whole Foods, after AOC famously thwarted its parent company Amazon's attempts to build an enormous new corporate campus in NYC.

One Twitter user wrote: 'Why is @AOC even shopping at @Wholefoods when it's owned by @JeffBezos? She made such a stink abt Amazon in NYC, was that for the publicity? I am so tired of these hypocrites. If you're gonna talk the talk, you better walk the walk. spare me with your whole foods & Tesla.'

Luxury apartment, Tesla, Whole Foods ... I personally don't think each of these things is *that* big of a deal by itself. One could somewhat justify each of them:
  • As a public figure, she needs to live somewhere safe.
  • She wanted to drive to avoid the virus, and she's "going green" (avoiding accusations of polluting) by not choosing a gasoline-powered car.
  • Whole Foods existed before it was acquired by Amazon, maybe she's always shopped there.
But this incident is really notable because of these things taken together:

As the song sez: "She 'works' hard for the money, so u better treat her right..." Applies to both AOC and the crone who speaketh with forked tongue.
