The Australian politics thread

1. Before COVID, most Australians couldn't have given a crap about climate change.

2. Over the last few years, Australians have been hit constantly over the with COVID news, experienced harsh lockdowns, were force 'vaccinated' with experimental gene therapy that the vast majority of people didn't want, and heard hardly a thing about climate change.

3. At yesterday's election, all Australians could think about - apparently - was climate change.

4. This doesn't compute and causes me to think that the election was rigged in a big way.
At the end of the day the election was null and void. There was no writ issued by the AEC in accordance with our constitution. Unfortunately the tractor just keeps on rolling.

3 was what stumped me. Maybe I haven't been paying attention, but where on earth did all these climate change-fearing, rich, liberal, female Teals come from? Areas I am very familiar with here in Vic turned teal in the blink of an eye.
They were all sponsored by one of the sons of the (((Holmes a Court))) family 'dynasty' who coincidentally is a climate change lobbyist and has massive financial interests in renewables. I'm sure he will now get a healthy return on his investment as will that lobby group's other (((sponsors))). Isn't democracy grand?

The MSM painted them as independent strong wimmin but we all know as always behind any women's 'movement' is a (((male backer))).

They exclusively targeted Liberal-held seats and campaigned only on climate change and the rich virtue signalling chumps in these seats fell for it. These seats would have never normally voted for the Greens because of that Party's socialist economic policies. Ironically one of (((Holmes a Court's))) candidates took out (((Frydenburg))).

Yeah someone said this to me this morning too - "Climate was a big issue this election".

Umm... in what universe do normal, sane people think that paying more tax to fix the weather is an urgent or real issue? Are we that deep in Clown World now that normies want to pay pointless weather taxes?

Not buying it one bit.

Exactly. It was an issue in places where it's not an actual issue like the rich suburbs of Sydney and Melbourne. Climate change is the epitome of a first world problem only the super wealthy care about.

If it was a real issue nationwide, how come the seat Lismore/Northern Rivers is in (Page) actually had a swing to the Nationals and away from the climate change parties? Wouldn't being decimated by floods wake you up to 'climate change is real' thinking?

Ditto the seat of Gilmore where Bateman's Bay was hit hard by the fires in 2019: that had a swing to the Liberals and away from the climate change parties.

I know this isn't a strictly Australian politics thing, but I'm looking for a church to join. I'm over here in Victoria and from what I have seen, it's pretty grim - many Prot churches here are compromised to a massive degree. If anyone knows a good one, please let me via DM.

Freedom Of Speech Needs "Recalibration" - Aussie Commissioner Sparks Outrage At WEF

teaser image
"A whole range of human rights..."
Well, it could be positive if she means an increase in freedom of speech and the right of child dignity means that sexualizing children in schools is wrong. She might be worried about decreasing freedom of speech around the world. For example, the social credit system in China and the punishment of those that criticize govt. policy there might be alarming her. It is not necessarily a bad thing.

Let's cross our fingers and hope it is positive and not negative. Her statement is pretty vague.

This is from an another forum I read. Note that turnout includes postal votes, phone, and early voting. This is despite compulsory voting too. Someone else worked out later, if this is true our new PM only got ~23% of all possible votes, a long way from a mandate.

Nearly 30% of Australian voters boycotted the election.

The lowest turnouts are in the inner city seats consecutively, look at the comparisons to 2019:

Electorate, Turnout %, Enrolled, Marked Off, Turnout % Relative to 2019
Melbourne 61.4 114447 70270 -28.22
Sydney 61.83 125421 77550 -24.47
Brisbane 62.46 125241 78223 -28.05
Perth 62.63 122719 76856 -26.9

Somebody had better say something about this because this is historic, and if no explanation is offered people are going to start theorising about the election.

On one hand the situation is rigged, in that you essentially end up with one of two Globalist controlled parties either way (Labor / Liberal).

On the other; that their agenda requires one bunch of Canberra Clowns over the other at any given time.
I have no doubt fraudulent practices take place to skew the public vote towards one Globalist proxy or the other.

I don't think they've counted the postals yet.

If you look at for example Brisbane on the AEC website it does indeed show a turnout of 63.98%. But scroll down the page and it says that there have been (at time of posting) 23,695 "envelopes received" (i.e. postals), 17,116 of which are "awaiting processing". Add the postals recieved to the votes on the day and divide by the number enrolled and you get 82% which is better than those numbers.

It would be best to avoid confusion like this, and also avoid the obvious chances at rigging, by not having postal votes at all and only allowing voting on the day. Keep the polls open longer from like 6am-10pm or something to placate the normies scared of the flu.

I never realized that "we" answered to the WEF. But to each their own I guess.

Has anyone else noticed how expensive everything here is getting?
I literally paid $3.13 for TWO tomatoes. Meanwhile, mushrooms are $11.50 a kilo at Coles, and capsicums around $15.
Shelves are empty, and nothing ever seems to be consistently in stock.

Good news.
The Party just increased the chocolate ration from 30% to 20%.

Solid 20 to 25% increase in most of the staples I looked at last time, 30 store brand eggs were $10 now $12 for example. The really noticeable one was there was a small crowd around the bloke marking product down in the chiller isle. This is a firmly middle class area in Melbourne too.

Life in Melbourne finds a way to get worse every day. It's only going to get worse if Andrews win November...

Don’t want to get anyones hopes up too much, but I received another phone call from a guy at a recruitment agency today asking me if I was available for work. I gave him the same old story (sorry mate but I’m unvaccinated etc, etc). He was really nice and felt genuinely sorry for me. He did say however that he is hearing rumours that dickhead Dan (actually his words, not mine!) could be dropping mandates against unvaxxed employees as soon as July. Let’s pray he’s right.
