Pity, as I would have dropped this wisdom as a comment on Erin Gloria Ryan's article about how the poor dears are oppressed at work and those privileged males refuse to believe what women say about the workplace - by that I mean what they have been told is true.

But don't worry, because you will have already risen to your level of incompetence and have long abandoned any silly notions of familial - I mean patriarchal - bliss.
When you retire and get that gendered wristwatch that you fought so long to break through the glass barrier to attain, don't realize you were used just as the system wanted and got with your approval. Don't worry, love is patriarchal and wanting children is a social construct.
