Now that I got you to click on such an enticing headline, I must deliver the goods or else you will be upset with me. Before I share with you the best podcast in the world, I wanted to first mention six other podcasts that I regularly listen to. From The Amvon This podcast is by Father John Whiteford, an Orthodox priest in Texas. His
Read More
...

I thought for sure you were going to say "total silence" was the best podcast in the world, but I agree that Fr. Kosmas' talks are by far the most spiritually edifying "internet content" our background listening addicted brains can consume.

Thanks for the suggestions Roosh. I have family members staying with us at the moment who are quite literally the opposite of Christians so these podcasts might calm me down a bit before bedtime.

Thanks a ton for this Roosh. Any chance we could get your thoughts on The Royal Path with Fr Turbo? Would love to hear your opinion on that one. Thanks and God Bless

One great but overlooked podcast are the homilies of Fr. Athanasios Mitilinaios. The podcast is called Orthodox Christian Teaching:

Totally agree with you about The “homilies of Elder Athanasios Mitilinaios” and also The “book of revelation with Elder Athanasios Mitilinaios” available on iTunes and Spotify (search for what I put in quotes) because these are both the taped productions of the wonderful Constantine Zalalas who is himself a spiritual child of Blessed Elder Ephraim of Arizona. These two and Orthodox Talks with Priestmonk Kosmas that Roosh mentions are really the only three that I’ve listened to daily for the last several months. As an aside, Orthodox Talks podcast is also available on Audible which Roosh doesn’t link to. Ps. The Book of Revelation series is also available in book form in a five volume set that can be found online or at St. Anthony’s Monastery.

A site that I found a while back that has them all organized very neatly and where you can also download them is pantokrator.info and don’t hesitate to buy all five volumes of the Revelation series in book form if you can. I bought the first volume quite a few years ago (before the others had even come out yet) and then collected the rest as they came out. The books are obviously similar to the original taped recordings but not identical. They are very special and precious to me. Lord, bless

Very useful, thanks for sharing! Was already familiar with fr Spyridon, Heers and Trenham (how can't you be if you're on this forum..) but listened talk 1 of fr Kosmas and I really like it, the intensity, fast paced, stern, ramble kind of style. Looking at the list it's a great variety of topics that fr Kosmas covers. I think for a starting inquirer fr Spyridon is the best, to get into basic characteristics of Christian spiritual life (obedience, love, righteousness etc which he always emphasizes) and get a feeling with the Saints. Fr Heers then offers good podcasts and courses on the basics of Orthodoxy that can feel a bit information dense at the start but are really informative (on his Patreon e.g. courses on ecclesiology, the liturgy, modern Martyrs in the Soviet Union, an evaluation of fr Rose's Orthodox survival course outlying Orthodox history in relation to Western Christianity etc). I've recently discovered fr Trenham's platform at Patristicnectar and I'm really in awe of the quality and quantity of courses there, his catechism course is an absolute blessing. Lots to discover!
