The Bitcoin (BTC) thread

Trump ...

This recent comment on Bitcoin is just another example. Not to get political, but just wanted to post that.

The guy clearly doesn’t understand Bitcoin.

He seems to understand it just fine, and he speaks to protect himself and/or the America First concept. It seems clear he knows it is an inflationary hedge against the dollar. He thinks that is a bad thing (and he may be right). Disagreeing with you does not mean he does not understand it.

Under a Bitcoin standard, they won't sink further into debt as no one will be willing to lend their bitcoin to Greece. Instead prices will just keep dropping in Greece until their exports become more competitive. It will lead to a massive drop in living standards there and likely a depression in the short term and possibly even social unrest and starvation for some, but this is fair, as for the last decades the Northern European countries have been subsidizing them. Given Greece's low education standards and poor work ethic, their current standard of living does not reflect their underlying productivity.
You just don't know what you're talking about.

According to the logic of your argument combined with that chart, the Turks are more productive than the Germans. :laughter:

The great thing about a Bitcoin standard is it will be much harder for countries to avoid confronting their failure at creating a higher standard of living. With a common worldwide monetary policy and diminished ability of the banksters to trap countries with debt and reward others with aid for helping the globalists, it will be clear whose populations are not pulling their weight.

Trump was never a conservative. He would do anything to support himself. Last year he printed trillions and made sure the checks to the people had his name on them. That’s Classic big government.

I was and still am a big Trump supporter for various reasons. This is accurate, though. The system we live in requires printing, just as Booth says. The only time it won't is when it is gone. You don't get politicians in this system that campaign on crushing the system and short term pain or disaster, by definition that's a loser. It's funny how few people understand this fact.
