Maybe I'm late to this party, but wow, CNN is in chaos. Somebody needs to buy them, fire every single employee, and hire only conservatives. Would be a great business deal.
What I don't get is why isn't the administration doing more when media mergers happen.

Justice Department could have threatened AT&T's purchase of Time Warner, and got them to commit to divesting CNN for approval.

Same goes for them approving all these left-fake news media mergers while denying Sinclair from purchasing Tribune.

The Trump administration has been kind to the big cable companies with repealing net neutrality, yet these fake news outlets like Comcast's NBC still chose to target the administration?

You expect (((people))) who couldn't even be grateful for being rescued from concentration camps to be grateful for being rescued from net neutrality?

Yeah that bothers me too. Saw a "donate to Holocaust survivor' commercial a couple weeks ago. Never seen the same for other WWII survivors.
This coming from (((people))) who feel Poland should pay them Holoco$t reparations for being invaded and controlled by Nazi Germany. The lack of self-awareness is incredible.

I'm not sure how the airport streams are counted in their ratings but, take that away, and CNN gets lower ratings than most of the YT channels I follow.
During the second quarter of this year, here’s how the average viewing audience stacked up…

FOX: 2.4 million

MSNBC: 1.67 million

CNNLOL: 761,000

Total Day

FOX: 1.32 million

MSNBC: 900,000

CNNLOL: 541,000

Viewership drops compared to this same quarter last year…

Primetime

FOX: -2%

MSNBC: -4%

CNNLOL: -18%

Total Day

FOX: -6%

MSNBC: -3%

CNNLOL: -18%

I have no idea who that dude is but that’s hilarious.

It’s a shame he doesn’t go to press conferences and Donald can say “what’s your question Fredo”?

I feel Cuomo handled the situation like a Bo$$! The other dude mentioning he "thought" that was his name... now that was a Punk A$$ B***h of an excuse! If you want to insult a man, do it for real! Cuomo would've Flatlined this Dude in 4 seconds flat! Now let's remove politics out of this interaction for a second. Would anyone in their right conscience side over this passive aggressive Punk B***h over Cuomo? Let's Be Real Here! The other dude is the type to talk shit and duck quick! F*** Him

This isn't how men "handle things", this is how emotional children "handle things". If he wanted to handle it like a man, he would have kept his cool and been reasonable.

Instead he knows deep down his father, his brother and him have done great damage to the Italian community in NYC and NY State and he is lashing out in a desperate attempt to regain control.

Well, Cuomo was allegedly at dinner with his family. He could have just ignored the heckler by really it’s an asshole move to bug someone at their dinner by name calling, I would think?

As much damage and destruction as people like him have caused while he and his family have made millions off of it, I don't feel the least bit bad about it. He goes on CNN and trashes half this country and tries to stir up violence against them and then wants to behave like a baby when it is given back to him.

The good thing is his behavior is so embarrassing I am guessing some other real trolls will search him out in public and really test him.

CNN is funded by the elites to put out news that is favorable to them. People like Dana Bash, Wolf Blitzer and others are put there so they won't challenge the status quo. A lot of these people are rich millionaires who have benefited from the same corrupt system and throw news out there that benefits the elite. You will never hear the entire news.

Cuomo seems a very fragile little bunny.
Like he has more coke in his system than O.J. at his peak.
This is consistent with his general schtick which seems incredibly narcissistic, messianic and threatened by just about everything that he sees.

That said the people trolling him acted like absolute faggots.
"Oh sorry I thought your name WAS Fredo" "Sorry, chill man.. chill"
And as others have said heckling him when he is socialising away from work is low enough..
then backing down when he challenges them..
that is a new form of low.

One lesson from this which I've stated elsewhere on the forum is that the decision to throw all caution to the wind when others are seeking to intimidate can turn the tables very quickly.
When I was growing up some hardened street fighters said that most fights are decided in the first few seconds and that an all out balls-to-the-wall gambit can often win situations that would otherwise just be lost.

There are many ways to counter that argument but it just has been my experience. Most people rely on a back and forth to escalate a situation and then each uses the other persons gradual escalation in turn to help them to prepare their own arousal for a confrontation. Its a war-dance/ ritual that people hide behind.
Refusing to go along with it and immediately going all out when others aren't expecting it yet intimidates people.

It works on the same principle as breaking rapport in Game.

Cuomo did well in the context of intimidating these cowardly dipshits (whilst at the same time still demonstrating what a walking basket case he is.)

I gotta say though -- being from NY, and leaving the TV and politics entirely out of it -- Chris handled himself as well as I'd expect any of my friends to.

- the insulter is standing right in his face

- Chris calls out the fact that the guy wasn't really man enough to just make the insult "you're like Fredo" and instead hides behind "oh well I thought that's your name maan"

- Chris explains logically why it's a deeper cultural insult than a mere movie reference (this is true, even non-Italians call people Fredo when they've demonstrated deep weaknesses in judgement and character)

- We don't see the minutes leading up to the escalated vocal tone

I think it was unlikely Cuomo would have escalated physically. He was in his "off" time and probably wanted to protect his honor in front of countless friends/family.

He didn't even honestly seem coked up. Seems pretty consistent with his normal vibe.

BTW, I think he's an awful guy and dislike his show. He makes these nods to "logic and reasonableness" when hosting debates, but shills the same crap they all do.

But not knowing who the insulter was before this video, he really did act like a keyboard warrior mangina who bluffs and makes his bet that Chris won't do anything. He was right, but got a mouthful that he basically deserved. Again, regardless of politics or larger contexts.

Okay guys, here is how a man handles the situation Cuomo is in, and this is for all of you, not spoiled Cuomo with personal security to protect him anyway.

If you get insulted like this and you just have to intervene, rather than ignore it, this is what you do.

You walk up to the guy confidently and you show your humility. You say "I don't appreciate you calling me Fredo in front of my friends and family, but I appreciate your right to have an opinion. On this note, let me buy you a drink and talk about why I don't like you calling me Fredo".

This way you are the bigger man, you have taken a situation in which you were wronged and you made peace. If they don't accept peace they are totally in the wrong and everyone who witnesses it will have your back 100%.

The macho, "I'll throw you down the stairs" routine is just clownish. You either be polite or you walk away or you have to get physical. Option #3 should only be used when Option #1 and #2 are not available. Making threats is just silly.
