The Donald Trump thread

That was so cringe. Their advertiser should be fired.

That should really end with the mother closing the kid's door and him smiling as he returns to slumber, sleeping happily knowing his future is secure under the reign of our King of Eternal Dawn in America....

I realize I am pooping on the parade here, but for the sake of everyone who has this false hope in Donald Trump somehow being a good leader, I think it is best that he loses the election. I have remained mostly agnostic as to what outcome I have hoped for, but after hearing so much over the past few weeks from people who genuinely adore this guy, I think the most helpful thing for the country is to break people out of this delusion with a Trump loss.

I heard someone on the radio the other day claiming he was "the best president we have ever had" and "not just for his personality but it's because of his accomplishments" and I just cannot understand this type of person. I suppose it's the same reaction as those who thought Obama was some utter socialist or something (or on the other side, those who saw him as some sort of amazing progressive genius--true progressives like Glenn Greenwald or Jimmy Dore despise the guy), but with Trump it just seems a notch higher.

I guess we got a tax cut? That's about the only change I saw from this guy. Due to the vast disappointment in him and the lack of any real achievements, I don't see how he would be very different from Biden. I know that seems like blasphemy to those who are deep in the political world, but once you step out of it you see there is rarely much of a political change when presidents change. And the reality is the president is mostly a figurehead or mascot anyway. Trump is really good at that part of being president. But pretending it's anything more than that, or that our society is somehow going to be helped, much less saved by a Trump administration is pure fantasy. And look, what he really wants, if you listen to him, is more power to Israel, more black criminals on the street, and more women in positions of power. Those are the 3 things he constantly brags about.

The guy gets things right here or there, but he is an extremely poor leader, both morally because of his greed and divisive rhetoric, and effectually due to his absolutely horrible choices in picking and delegating underlings. That's really where a president has power (and its ultimately the only role of a CEO, finding people to manage your departments): selecting advisors and cabinet members that will put in place good change, and motivate others to do their job. He has picked the worst possible people, and fired the only halfway decent ones that were ever part of the team (Flynn, Rex Tillerson, Steve Bannon, Jeff Sessions, etc.) His standing cabinet is among the most awful people in America. Bill Barr is bordering on criminal. But really they all are except maybe Sleepy Ben Carson who doesnt do anything at all.

And for these reasons it's better that fellow Americans who I agree with on most issues must be disappointed with a Trump loss so you can get out of the time sink of politics. There is no political solution to our problems. Democracy is an utter failure. A Trump victory will put these patriots back to sleep, under the false belief that America is being "saved" when instead it is business as usual at best or looting at worst. What we need is people to not be so complacent, and Trump losing the position of US mascot over the next 4 years will get people to stop cheerleading and maybe even stop attending the games. If there's any lesson to be learned from Trump, its that our political system is beyond repair. The fact that Donald Trump can be viewed as a good leader or someone worthy of support just shows how awful politics are, and he can only possbly look good in comparison to a worse politician, the way a can of spam could look appealing next to an expired tub of Cool Whip, but both are fake products that are not good for anyone to eat.

I'm just so tired of the fake cheerleading of non-accomplishments and want to see my fellow man get back to more positive things. Protest the lockdowns. Build a family. Look into the church. But please, enough of this horrible politics. Its fine to vote, or even prefer a turd sandwich over a giant douche, but dont invest your time or energies into it or pretend like one is really great.

How are you going to protest the lockdown if you're not allowed to go outside?
How are you going to build a family when abortion is glorified, divorce incentivized, and immorality is enforced?
And church? If you mean the religion of equality under the banner of anti-facism, by all means head to the streets. If you're referring to Christianity I'm afraid those establishments are no longer open or allowed to congregate.

Get with the times.

I can't count how many times I've read the sentiment (in one form or another) of "if so and so happens, it's going to force the people on the left to take a good long look in the mirror..."

I've got bad news for anyone who has ever voiced this: Ignorant people are ignorant because they have no capacity for introspection or retrospection.

You can't wave a magic wand in front of someone's eyes that forces them to see reality. And capitulating as a tactic of bringing about destruction so people will "wake up" is the weakest crap I've ever heard.

Agreed. While I largely agree that Trump as an actual leader has been disappointing, it's better that he win just because it will show that there is still some fight in the heritage American nation, still some will to push back against the SJWs and MSM. Also, it will be great for entertainment value. Who doesn't enjoy hysterical meltdowns from goodwhite virtue signalers like we got in 2016, and if he wins this time around we should get even better.

A Trump loss would just embolden the enemy even more. It would cement the idea in their minds that his 2016 election was a one off and should be regulated to a blip in history.

I agree that Trump has made bad cabinet decisions, but I think you're ignoring a big part of what he stands for.

Trump's entire persona is exactly what makes left wing heads explode. They want obedient castrated men who follow orders. With Trump they have no idea what to expect. He'll call them out, embarass and troll them. He's made many people wake up towards the MSM propaganda machine. Trust in the media is at an all time low.

He's also got a lot done vs. previous politicians.

Remember that they aren't after Trump, they are after all of us and people like us. Trump is just in the way.

To make more clear what I said above, this election is essentially MSM vs. Trump. A win for the MSM would be devastating. With a Trump win there's a chance some of less brainwashed normies might finally wake up.

I cut Trump some slack for his crappy appointments as there was an obvious adjustment period, and he did have blind faith in taking advice from rats at the start. Now though, I firmly believe he understands how the machine works and will clean house and fire anyone he has the ability to and for resignations from the rest and start with a clean slate.

We have to hope. Beyond temporarily enjoying the wailing and gnashing of teeth from the other side if he wins, all we can do is hope that he's learned something from his first term and will do better next time around.

I wonder if he could bring in Tucker as an advisor.

Big GDP after govt hands out TRILLIONS????? You don't say? GDP is still down bigly year-over-year. Unemployment, including pandemic assistance, is eye-watering.

I really don't want to rain on your parade. I hope you vote for Trump. However, the economic cheer-leading is absolute BS. You cannot claim, as several in this thread have done, that you're voting for him knowing he hasn't been the best or has character flaws... then tout this nonsense about the economy like Trump didn't screw it all up along with every other politician.

GDP has always been a garbage metric but what are you going to do? YoY will look bad due to Corona so spliting into quarters is best to see how things are going. Yes, Govt pumping money results in a boost but this is not new. People like to think Govt printing press would stop with any other POTUS. No way. The fiscal policy of the USA is still controlled by 'other' people not intertwined within Government as one would think.

I have said this before that the USA is too far gone to do anything about its spending and finances and nobody can and will do anything to force the USA to restrain itself. As long as the USA is the Petrodollar and the USA controls global trade flow, they get free reign to spend as much money as they want. It won't stop until the globe demands X currency and bonds over the USA's products.

Then why the economic cheer-leading for Trump over GDP? Corona wasn't what caused the economic crash either. That just helped it along.

So what you're saying is; you welcome your new Chinese Communist overlords...?

NEWSFLASH THE USA HAS ENEMIES!

1. CCP Controlled Communist China waging economic, Cyber, and kinetic buildup wars.

2. Radical Islam; Al Qaeda, ISIS, Hamas, Hezbollah all want the West and remainder of the world to accept the Koran or accept the Sword and be beheaded. Why do the people accept this stern theocracy, cradle to grave social welfare economics and no (((CFR, CoL NWO debt bondage))) central banks.

3. CCP funded LatinX Narco wars killing 70,000 young people a year with the most deadly opioids, fentanyl, carfentanyl, meth, crack etc to kill and weaken via addiction a large portion of US and Canadian military aged youth in preparation of CCP economic and political one party rule colonization and organ harvesting of political dissidents ( all of you complainers against GOPe and Dems) are ON the list.

4. CFR, CoL NWO Davos WEF Bill Gates eugenicists Globalists that want total Orwellian Control via Neuralink integrated with Chinese AI and 24/7 Social Credit Score monitoring and behavioral thought control.

There are Patriots and Traitors.

Patriots even imperfect ones like Trump FIGHT our above enemies.

Traitors like Biden sellout and collaborate with them...

Just the FACTS. Anything else is CCP agitation propaganda.
