I think it's more of a righteous persona he's trying to portray. It's hilarious because someone asked him about SJWs

@Snowden Can you please direct that at SJWs that uninvite speakers at universities because their views may be offensive to some?

Edward Snowden Retweeted Joseph Gordon Dant
An individual trying to limit speech at universities is interested in neither university nor justice.

After he tweeted this a bunch of irate liberals threatened to unfollow him for supporting Gamergate, including a Professor of Media at UNC who threw a twitter tantrum over him not castigating misogynists and homophobes.

I always thought this guy has a good moral compass. I don't think he is going into SJW territory. I will wait and see.

I mean I don't mean to sound like I'm some genius or something (even though I am) but how many people where actually shocked when word of the NSA spying on citizens broke? I was just kind of like...duh

Same with the two women that passed Ranger school recently, I saw the headline on Facebook and immediately I knew rules were bent.

There are a ton of examples like this that pop up and a lot of peoples minds are blown, it makes me wonder how their simple sheeple minds work.

There are still people out there who think Lee Harvey Oswald was a lone sniper with magic bullets.

And that is where game/women intersects with the red pill. The same people who's minds are blown that the government does shady things are the same people whose minds are blown when women do vindictive, cold and whore-ish things to climb up the dick ladder.

Well, he was not just anyone was he? No one could know the extent of the surveillance unless it came from inside the NSA. Traitor for you, hero for me. Glad he has exposed the arrogance and paranoia your government stand for.

Hope for more whistleblowers for the years to come.

What Snowden did is produce the evidence. Until then you may think the government is watching you but it is just an opinion.

Was there significant evidence before Snowden's leaks that the government was spying on the people so heavily? Down to siphoning essentially ALL internet traffic?

It's one thing to think the government may be spying on it's own citizens or overreaching their boundaries, it's another thing entirely to see blatant evidence of massive systematic overreach.

I use Snowden to test people.

What they think of him reveals their choice: do they like state power more, or individual freedom more?

It is something outside the usual left/right issues.

That's a lot like saying "If you needed photographs to tell you your girlfriend was a town bicycle..."

Probably most people had an inkling that the government were spying on us, just as most of us wouldn't believe the girls we meet are the virginal innocents they try to present themselves as.

But when someone presents you with a video of her with rods in every orifice, something changes.

It's like it's OK to assume she's a slut, as long as you're not given full disclosure.

It's like you're OK with the government spying on you, as long as you don't know exactly what they're looking for.

But now you know. You've stumbled upon her video on RedTube and you can't unsee that shit. You saw someone post a Guardian news article on Facebook and you can't un-know what your government is doing against you.

What do you do now?

Havent we killed an American without his right to a fair trail within the last year or so? If the feds really wanted him gone they would mark him as a terrorist then handle their business.

I am surprised CNN actually ran the interview. I wonder if it will become big news or go away. I choose the latter.

I dont think I have ever seen the head of NSA before. You always see CIA and homeland security. Sometimes the Fed but rarely NSA.

I think to actually deliberately off a us citizen you have to go way up high--hopefully to the President. Unless it is loose cannons like DEA guys trafficking drugs; who just do shit on their own hoping they won't get caught.

Unless the President specifically says someone is a problem and they don't want to know.

Especially this guy who I am convinced believed what he was doing was right, and that the NSA was stomping all over right to privacy.
I wouldn't want to be left holding the bag for an extrajudicial murder, or for such things to be done at all casually or lightly.

That right there is pretty much the entire premise of the tag a sponsor thread.

This is simply pathetic. His father should be ashamed for the he's been behaving. The stupidisation of the american population is truly a success in all aspect. How else would citizens of a free country tolerate their government, who they they have willingly voted for, have been slowly but surely eroding and taking away all their rights one by one to the point of turning the country into a police state and a society better than what Orwell foresaw 3 decades ago.

I read Orwell's biography, he basically sacrificed himself to write 1984, lived in a poorly heated house on a cold island while suffering from Tuberculosis, when he could have been hanging with the swells in London.

But Americans don't have a history of a Royally abusive past to remember; they mostly trust both the upper class (.01%) and the government to be halfway reasonable if rather crooked.

Generally political thugs don't just off famous dissidents, because that martyrs them and casts suspicion on the legitimacy of the authority of those political thugs. They always need a show trial first. This is why Snowden ran to a rival state. One president can't kidnap someone from another president's state. If he can't kidnap him he can't be put to a show trial.
